Micromax is leading domestic company with 
23 domestic offices across country and 
International offices in Hong Kong, USA, 
Dubai, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. 
The head quarter is in Gurgaon(Haryana). 
In present Micromax has 125000 retail 
outlets in India. The companie’s vision is 
to develop path breaking technologies and 
efficient processes that are newer to the 
markets. 
INTRODUCTION
Micromax was originally incorporated in 
2000 under name Micromax informetics.It 
started its mobile phones manufacturing 
in operations in 2008 with focus on Low 
pricing and long battery. Until 2013 
company sourced its all mobile phones 
from China. 
HISTORY
 Micromax initially started with Long life battery 
phones but company introduce its 1st Android 
phone in 2010 under CANVAS series. 
 Micromax is 2nd largest mobile company after 
Samsung in India with 19.1% Market share in 
just 3yrs(2010-13) 
 Company enjoys turnover of US$2.2billion in 
2014(Q1) 
 Originally company sources its all phones from 
China but now they started manufacturing 
mobile phones in Rudrapur, Uttrakhand(INDIA) 
from April 2014 
 Akshay Kumar is Brand Ambassador of company 
but Hugh Jackman appeared in 2013 for Canvas 
Turbo and Chitrangda Singh for Canvas 4.
