This document discusses the simulation of a surface acoustic wave (SAW) gas sensor based on a ZnO/XY LiNbO3 structure, specifically for detecting nitrogen dioxide (NO2) at room temperature. The research highlights the sensor's performance, showing a significant frequency shift when exposed to 100 ppm of NO2, indicating its sensitivity and potential for environmental monitoring. The study utilizes finite element methods to analyze the sensor's operation, detailing the influences of gas interactions on acoustic wave propagation.
