Abstract—Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is one of the major global public health problems with nearly 2 billion people infected worldwide. So this present study was planned to have information about socio-demographic characteristics of study subjects, level of knowledge about Hepatitis B and vaccination among adults. A cross-sectional, community-based study about hepatitis B knowledge and vaccination status among ethnic 1300 Kashmiri population aged 18 years and above was conducted. The study area was block Hazratbal of district Srinagar. There were 970 (74.6%) females and 330 (25.4%) males. Majority of our participants (54.7%) were in the age group of 21-40 years. Most of the participants were from urban areas(68%), currently married(66.8%), illiterate(64.8), members of joint family(59%) and belonging to socio-economic class II(67.2%). Regarding knowledge, only 10.2% subjects had heard of Hepatitis B before this study. Among them, 50 (37.6%) participants were aware of the modes of transmission of this disease. About the Hepatitis B vaccination, only 26 (2%) participants out of 1300 had ever received the vaccine. Keeping in view, the low level of knowledge about Hepatitis B in the general population, there is a need to organize health education campaigns targeting both health care workers as well as public, so that they adopt all possible measures to prevent the spread of this fatal infection.
Abstract— There is a dearth of research work and scarcity of availability of data on psychiatric morbidity among railway employees in India. Present hospital based observational descriptive study was carried out at medical OPD of Central Hospital of Northern Western Railway, Jaipur with the specific aims to study occupational attributes of common psychiatric disorders. Total 450 randomly selected individuals were screened for psychiatric morbidities by using Mini-international neuropsychiatric interview-PLUS. Psychiatric diagnosis confirmed by two psychiatrists separately using the ICD, 10th revision (diagnostic and research criteria). A self designed, pre-tested & semi-structured detailed Performa was used to elicit demographical and occupational attributes. Univariate analysis was carried out initially to identify risk factors. The data was analyzed in terms of descriptive statistics, Chi-square test and stepwise binary logistic regression by using SPSS and Primer Version ‘6’. Most common diagnosed psychiatric disorders were Neurotic, stress related and somatoform disorders (28%), followed by mood disorders (25.56%). Common Psychiatric Disorders (CPD) i.e. depression, anxiety and somatoform disorders were the most common diagnosed psychiatric morbidities (49.78%). Working in rotatory shifts, perceived problems related to shift duties and stress in the working environment, work experience more than 20 years and non-executive type job were observed as the occupational risk factors for common psychiatric disorders. The present observations suggest that there is scope for psychiatric intervention for the management of perceived stress at work place, problems related to shift duties and other occupational challenges.
Abstract—Theories of sociology of health and illness defy the biomedical model of disease as many of them are ‘concerned with the social origins and influence on disease’ rather than pathological reasons only. There are five sociological perspectives of health and illness: Social Constructionism, Marxism, Feminism, Foucaulian analysis, and Functionalism. These different sociological perspectives were critically analyzed through this article as for better understanding of conceptualize management of health services Social Constructionism is a sociological perspective focus on the sociology of knowledge and reality. Marxism focuses on equity between social classes and emphasizes inequality in capitalist society. According to Marxism inequality of distribution healthcare services in capitalist society arise from the marginalization of some categories of the population who do not contribute to economic system. Feminist theory is to understand and explore the multiple and various reasons for inequalities between the genders. In the healthcare sector, feminists believe that healthcare organizations are hierarchical systems, where doctors (usually men) are at the top level while nurses (usually women) have a lower level of importance. Main areas that Foucault theory emphasizes are power, knowledge and discourse. Foucault believes that there is a relationship between power and knowledge. This relationship appears clearly in the health field, as medical professionals comprise a group of people who have special knowledge (medical knowledge) and they gain the power from this knowledge. Finally, functionalism is a sociological perspective that describes society as a system made up of ‘interconnected and interrelated parts’ and it highlights the relationships between different parts of society In conclusion, the five sociological perspectives provide holistic picture about conceptualization of healthcare systems.
Abstract—Colorectal cancer is leading cancer-related public health problem. This study was conducted to determine the effect of High-Dose-Rate intraluminal brachytherapy (HDR-BT) with or without interstitial brachytherapy during neoadjuvant chemoradiation for locally advanced rectal cancer. This randomized contrial was conducted on 28 patients attended with locally advanced rectal cancer (T3, T4 or N+) treated initially with concurrent capecitabine (800 mg/m2 twice daily for 5 days per week) and pelvic external beam radiation therapy (45Gy in 25 Fractions) after one week MRI for all patients; received intraluminal HDR-BT with 4Gy x 2 Fractions with one week interval for those had gross residual disease within 1cm of rectal wall and receiveed intraluminal and interstitial brachytherapy with 4Gy x 2 Fractions with one week interval for those had gross residual disease far from 1cm of rectal wall. All patients underwent surgery within 4-8 week after completion of neoadjuvant therapy. In the control group which were not randomized, twenty-eight patients underwent neoadjuvant chemoradiation (45Gy in 25 Fraction with concurrent capecitabine 800mg/m2 twice daily for 5 days per week) followed by surgery. It was found that in HDR-BT group pathologic complete response (pCR), pathologic partial response (pPR) and pathologic response rates (pCR+pPR) based on AJCC TNM staging for colorectal cancer were %35.7, %35.7, and %71.4 respectively. The pCR, pPR, and pRR were %25, %17, and %42 in the control group respectively. pCR, pPR, and pRR were improved with HDR-BT. However, only response rate improvement was statistically significant (p=0.031). There was no a statistically significant difference in the complications between the two groups (p > 0.05). So it can be concluded that HDR intraluminal with or without interstitial brachytherapy may be an effective method of dose escalation technique in neoadjuvant chemoradiation therapy of locally advanced rectal cancer with higher response rate and manageable side effects.

Abstract— Anemia in pregnancy is commonly considered as risk factor for poor pregnancy outcome and can threaten the maternal and fetal life also. So this present cases control study was carried at R. K. Joshi District Hospital Dausa (Rajasthan) India, with the aim to find out the effect of anemia in Antenatal period on pregnancy outcomes. For this study, 50 Antenatal Cases (ANCs) with anemia were selected as study group among ANCs attending for delivery in district hospital Dausa. For control group age and BMI matched 50 normal healthy ANCs without anemia were selected from the same area. ANCs with any other diseases were excluded from the study. It was found in this study that although proportion of ANCs with LSCS, PPH and Sepsis were higher in anemic ANCs but it was not found significant. Likewise IUGR, LBW babies, premature births and still births were more in anemic ANCs but it was found significant only in case of LBW babies. So it can be concluded that anemia in ANCs effect weight of newborn babies born by ANC with anemia.
Abstract—By providing proper architecture as per the need and behaviour of the individuals a person may be satisfied with surrounding that may affect spiritual health of individual and in turn the overall health. So this study was conducted on two type of housing society with the aim to find out relationship between type of architecture, interpersonal relationship and spiritual health of their residents.
Methodology: A comparative observational was conducted on two type of housing society having same SES status class I but with different type of architecture. Various components of architecture of their houses was assessed of these houses and general information gathered from head of family. Interpersonal relationship of societies was assessed by applying 9 itemed self reported Relationship Structures (ECR-RS) questionnaire for neighbors on head of family. Spiritual health of head of family was assessed with Spiritual Health Assessment Scale (SHAS). The relationship between type of architecture, interpersonal relationship and level of spiritual health was inferred by Chi-square test and Unpaired 't' test.
Result & Conclusion: It was also found out that Interpersonal relationship were significantly better of society having architecture preferring more of comfort and ambiences than safety and vice versa. Likewise spiritual health score was observed significantly higher in occupants having architecture preferring more of comfort and ambiences than safety and vice versa.
Abstract—The frequent occurrence of epidemics even after the launching of the Integrated Diseases Surveillance Programme (IDSP) was an indication toward inadequacy of the control system. These epidemics/outbreaks may be identified if disease status analysis is done properly. The aim of the this study was to find out status of some of major diseases included in the IDSP in a tertiary level hospital of western Rajasthan. It was a record-based analysis carried out in hospitals attached to SMS medical College, Jaipur (Rajasthan) India. Weekly report of IDSP in 'L' Form was collected of year 2015 from SMS Medical College, Hospitals. Data related to major diseases of IDSP were gathered from these reports. These reports were analysed in percentage and proportion. It was observed among major six diseases studied in this present study, majority of cases were of Swine flue followed by Dengue, Scrub Typhus and Malaria. There was no case of Chikungunia and Enteric Fever. When deaths due to these major six diseases were observed it was found that majority of deaths occurred due to Swine flue followed by Dengue, Scrub Typhus and Malaria. Malaria death was due to Plasmodiun Falcifarrum. Maximum PCR was of Swine flue (42.32%) followed by Dengue (29.16 %), Scrub Typhus (21.87%) and Malaria (6.65%). Maximum PDR was of Swine flue (93.08%) followed by Dengue (3.08%), Scrub Typhus (3.08%) and Malaria (0.77%). Overall Case Fatality (CFR) of these diseases was found 9.2%. Regarding variation CFR of these diseases it was found that maximum CFR was of Swine flue (20.23%) followed by Scrub Typhus (1.29%), Dengue (1.06%) and Malaria (0.97%). This variation of CFR as per the type of diseases was found with significant variation (p<0.001).So more emphasis should be given to more fatal disease like swine flue.
Abstract—Spiritual health is not given its due importance since long time. But nowadays modern medicine is seen in relation to spiritual health. and studies were conducted to find out its effect in various diseases. So this study was conducted on medical students of SMS Medical College, Jaipur (Rajasthan) India. aimed to assess the spiritual health and its association with psycho wellness. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 1st MBBS students present on the day of survey were given spiritual health assessment scale (SHAS) to assess the their spiritual health. Then these students were screened through Modified Mini Scale (MMS) to found out zone of psycho wellness i.e. red and orange zone of psycho-wellness. Association was inferred by Chi-square test and ANOVA with Post-hoc Tukey test. Out of 230 students attend on the day of survey, majority of students i.e.164(71.3%) were having good spiritual health. Likewise only 132 students (57.39%) were in green zone (no disease zone), while 36(15.65%) students were in orange (borderline) and 62 students (26.96%) were in red zone (Psychiatric disease zone) of psycho-wellness. On analysis it was found that Mean scores of spiritual SHAS of green zone was significantly high than mean SHAS scores of other zones. Majority of students were having poor spiritual health and this spiritual health was strongly associated with psycho-wellness of students. Poorer the spiritual health of students leads to poorer the psycho-wellness of students.
Abstract—Sexual health (SH) and sexual behavior of young people have become a growing public concern. But few studies have been conducted to investigate the prevalence and psychosocial correlates of this phenomenon.
Purpose: To understand college students’ sexual knowledge (SK), sexual attitudes (SA), sexual desire (SD) and sexual behavior (SB).
Methods: A self-reported questionnaire survey on SK, SA, SD, and SB was conducted among 520 university students. Their demographic data, SK, SA, SD, and SB were assessed.
Results: A total of 500 students completed the questionnaire. The SKS total score had a mean of 23.05; 105 (21.0%) subjects had had premarital sex; 121 (24.2%) had a partner; 117 (23.4%) had a medical educational background. The results demonstrated an increased risk of premarital sex amongst males and subjects with the risk factors of smoking, drinking, having a partner, and having higher levels of SD and SK and more open SA.
Conclusions: This study provides support for the idea that university students lack SK (especially regarding contraception knowledge), even though the students had a medical educational background. Additionally, a considerable amount of them engaged in premarital SB. Our findings also suggest that university students need sex education, particularly in combining sexuality with their life, in relating to others maturely as a sexual individual, in employing contraception, and in preventing sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Our study suggests that interventions aimed at expanding university students’ SK and other related skills are required.
A Point Cross-sectional study of Swine Flu Cases admitted at a Tertiary Level Hospital, Jaipur (Rajasthan) India-Presently in India Swine Flu cases were reported maximum from Rajasthan in this year (2015). So this study was aimed to analyzed the swine flu cases on various grounds to know the reasons for this increase. 77 swine flu cases addimited on 10.3.15 in a tertiary level hospital were interrogated. Total 2603 swine flu cases and 101 deaths were confirmed upto 10.3.15 in this current year concluding CFR 3.88%. Mean age of identified 77 swine flu cases was 41.32 ± 16.19 years with age range 1.5 to 75 years and MF ratio 0.51. Significantly more females were affected with swine flu than males but no significant age wise difference was found in males and females. Out of total 77 cases, 32.47 % were in ICU. About one third (31%) were self motivated others were from government and private health institutes. They were correctly diagnosed symptomatically in 33.77% before referred and about half of cases were advised for investigation (44.16%) for swine flu and precautions (51.95%) regarding respiratory antiquates. And 63.64% were admitted within 24 hours shows good awareness. Co morbidity was found in 57.14% of admitted cases and maximum (84%) co morbidity was found in cases admitted in ICU.
Abstract—Obesity is the major global nutrition concern. Modernisation and urbanisation have led to changes in dietary and lifestyle factors which are contributing to the increased prevalence of overweight and obesity.
Objective: To find out various life style risk factors for obesity among school children of affluent families aged 10-18 years in Jaipur city.
Methods: A cross-sectional study in ten randomly selected schools of Jaipur city with tuition fee > 18000 ₹/year was conducted from July 2012 to April 2013. 1610 students of class V to XII were included and their detailed life style history with anthropometric measurements was recorded after their informed written consent. Indian Academy of Pediatrics' growth Monitoring Guidelines for children from birth to 18 years was followed for defining and classifying obesity.
Result: 364 (22.61%) participants were found obese/overweight. Watching television during meals, frequency of main meals outside home per month, frequency of snacks outside home per week and duration of television/ computer watching per day were found significant predictors of overweight/ obesity on binary multivariate logistic regression method.
Conclusion: The present study highlights childhood overweight/obesity is an emerging health problem (22.61%) and lifestyle factors are important risk for it.
A New Socio-economic Status Scale: urgent Need of Hour-Almost all community- based studies focus on socio-economic stratification, which is the key parameter for proper understanding the affordability of the community of health services. But nowadays in the era of changing social prestige parameters with debt from financing agencies should be considered in scaling socio-economic condition. So there is an urgent need to have socio-economic scaling reinvent considering new areas of socio-economic status. Present study was aimed to compare the different socio-economic status scales prevalent with Gaur’s socio-economic scale. Variables of 240 Antenatal cases were recorded along with the variables as per B.G. Prasad’s, Kupuswami’s and Gaur’s SES classification. Proportion of cases falling in various category of SES status as per all these SES Scaling was assessed and compared. It was found that as per B.G. Prasad SES classification there was 79.58% in class I, which is unbelievable. Whereas as per Gaur’s SES scaling there were 0.83% in Class I which is quite reasonable. Likewise, as per Kuppuswami SES Scale there were 46.67% in Class I, which is also not appropriate for ANCs attending at Government setting. Proportion of ANCs in various Classes as per B.G. Prasad SES and Kuppuswami SES Scale with Gaur’s SES scale was with significant (P<0.001) difference. Socio-economic scaling need to consider other variable like Housing Condition, Living Status, Percentage of Income Expenditure and Debt to asset Ratio (as in Gaur’s SES Scaling) along with Income, Education and Occupation.
Abstract—Osteomyelitis is a rare complication of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine particularly in Immunocompetent children. Recognition and Management of BCG osteomyelitis is challenging. Herein a 7-months-old Saudi girl admitted with right foot swelling, clinical diagnosis of cold abscess was made. MRI imaging revealed osteomyelitis of 1st right tarsal bone, open biopsy tissue culture and PCR were positive for mycobacterium bovis. BCG osteomyelitis is devastating complication of BCG vaccination that should be considered in the appropriate clinical setting.
Abstract—To strengthen the surveillance system in India, Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) was launched in 2004. The frequent occurrence of epidemics even after the launching of the IDSP was an indication toward inadequacy of the system. The aim of the this study was to find out the IDSP disease pattern and load on a tertiary hospital. It was cross-sectional study carried out in hospitals attached to SMS medical College, Jaipur (Rajasthan) India. Weekly report of IDSP in 'P' Form was collected from SMS Medical College, Hospitals. Data related to IDSP diseases were gathered from these reports. These reports were analysed in percentage and proportion. It was observed in this study that among IDSP diseases most common was fever of unknown origin accounting total 93 (23.97%) cases followed by Acute Diarrheal including Ac. Gastroenteritis, Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) Influenza like illness (ILI), Pneumonia, Malaria, Viral hepatitis etc. Distribution of various IDSP diseases were with significant variation in pediatric and adult population. Among pediatric population ADD was most common whereas in adult population ARIs were most common. Even after launching of more than a decade, a sizable burden of IDSP diseases is there at tertiary level hospital, who could be treated at peripheral health institutes like Sub centre and Primary health centre. So there is a strong need for IDSP disease and its toll free no awareness.
Abstract— Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common physical disability of childhood. Children with CP frequently grow slowly and are more prone to fractures. So this study was aimed to explore relationship of bone mineral density (BMD) with cerebral palsy by case-control study. This study was conducted at Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur. Hip bone and spine bone was used to assess BMD. Bone mineral density was measured by DEXA in both groups i.e. study group and control group after ensuring the comparability of both groups. Difference in means of BMD in both the groups was inferred by unpaired student's’ test of significance. It was found in this study that bone mineral density of hip well as spine was significantly lowered in cerebral palsy cases.
Abstract— Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) poses a great risk to burn patients with potential to cause significant morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to find out the prevalence of MRSA and its susceptibility, in burn wound infection/colonization in a Tertiary Care Hospital in North India. A retrospective study was conducted among patients admitted in burn ward of our hospital, between January to December 2012. All the patients irrespective of age, sex, duration of hospital stay, percentage and degree of burn were included in our study. Wound swabs from 1294 patients hospitalized in burn ward were analysed for bacteriological examination. Swabs were inoculated on Blood agar, MacConkey agar and Brain heart infusion broth. Isolates were examined for colony characteristics, Gram staining and biochemical tests. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was done by modified Stokes disc diffusion method. Detection of MRSA was done by cefoxitin (30g) disc diffusion method. Among the Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) isolates, 56.7% (80/141) were found to be MRSA while 43.3% (61/141) were Methicillin Susceptible S.aureus (MSSA). All the MRSA isolates were resistant to penicillin, cephalexin and cefazolin. Resistance to erythromycin, clindamycin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, amikacin, rifampicin, chloramphenicol was found to be 74%, 97.4%, 96%, 100%, 97.4%, 84.6%, 11.5%, 10.3%. All MRSA isolates were found to be sensitive to vancomycin and teicoplanin while 1.3% were resistant to linezolid. Although survival rates for burn patients have improved substantially over the years, nosocomial infections still remain a major challenge in burn care. This concludes that there is high prevalence of nosocomial infections specially the presence of multidrug resistant bacteria like Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus among burn patients suggest continuous surveillance of burn wound infections and development and stringent implementation of antibiotic policy.
Abstract— The verbal behaviour of persons with special educational needs features delayed speech evolution compared to normally developed persons. In the speech therapy process for children with SEN, it is necessary to delimit strictly the objectives proposed, the responsibilities for each factor involved, and the corresponding priorities. The paper focuses on the importance and necessity of speech therapy activities, conducted for students with special educational needs. Speech therapy activities are based on a systematic process of learning or re-learning correct language structures, of gradually consolidating these structures in current speech. There is no typical model in the education of disabled children, because any proposition is first defined by a team, in an attempt to understand the child’s needs, the family’s availability, and the assistance service functioning. In conclusion, disability can always be compensated by the child’s capacities within his psychophysical potential.

Purpose: To evaluate the morphological changes of the Meibomian glands in patients with evaporative “dry eye” compared to normal subjects by in vivo laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). To correlate these changes to the clinical observations and tear functions.
Methods: The study was based on trans-tarsal images of 30 normal and 30 diseased lids (patients with subjective complaints and objective symptoms of evaporative “dry eye”). Each participant was examined by in vivo LSCM (HRT3 Rostock corneal module). The results were compared to histological findings of normal or pathologically changed Meibomian glands.
Results: Patients with evaporative “dry eye” presented with destructive changes of the Meibomian glands as follows: occlusion of the lumen, impaired morphology of the acines, lack of normal structure and infiltration with inflammatory cells. Reported ocular surface and tear function abnormalities were correlated to the Meibomian glands dysfunction (MGD). In all cases the lid hygiene and anti-inflammatory treatment demonstrated tendency to restoration of the structure.
Cоnclusion: In vivo LSCM can effectively demonstrate the morphological changes of the Meibomian glands in patients with evaporative dry eye symptoms. This noninvasive technology is useful as a supplementary diagnostic tool for in vivo assessment of the histopathology of many ocular surface disorders and monitoring of the therapeutic effect in patients with MGD. Glandular acinar density and acinar unit diameter seemed to be promising new parameters of Meibomian glands in vivo confocal microscopy. The examination has the potential to change the evaporative dry eye treatment approach
Estrogen and Progesterone Receptors Expression in Resected Gallbladder from Gall bladder Carcinoma Cases-Gallbladder carcinoma is most common malignancy of gartrointestinal tract (GIT) with poor diagnosis. Its prevalence is higher in females that too of northern India. This study aimed to identify the role of sex hormones in carcinoma gallbladder (CA GB). Resected 100 gall bladders of CA GB were examined immune-histo-chemicaly to find out ER and PR status with its association with its underlying histopathology. It was found in this study that PR status was observed in 36% of cases whereas ER status was positive in 2% of CA GB cases. It was also revealed that ER expression was specific and PR expression was more sensitive indicator in differentiating between benign and malignant carcinoma gall bladder.
Abstract— Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic and progressive condition with a hereditary predisposition which is further induced by unhealthy lifestyle. It is a silent killer with cardiovascular complications being most common cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with T2DM.
Objective: To find out association of socio demographic and clinical parameters of diabetes type 2 with hypertension and dyslipidemia among Diabetes Mellitus type 2 cases aged 18 to 70 years. Results: Hypertension was present in 192 (70.59%) and dyslipidemia was present in 93 (34.19%) of type 2 diabetes patients. Age, family income, presence of family history, duration of illness, type of treatment, consumption of alcohol , BMI, Hba1c level were found to be associated significantly with both hypertension and dyslipidemia in type 2 DM patients.

4. cosa facciamo

qualità realizzati in quantità limitate a livello artigianale
- un catalogo di prodotti (nuovo e usato) messo a disposizione tra
i privati stessi, una specie di e-bay interno alla community
informazioni riservate - copyright 2014 MetaNetworkPlace - tutti i diritti riservati
6. … e soprattutto …
- paura di sentirsi dire “no”
- …………
informazioni riservate - copyright 2014 MetaNetworkPlace - tutti i diritti riservati
7. … e soprattutto …
- non saranno più loro a dover presentare i network, né saranno più
loro a dover convincere i loro diretti a parteciparvi: saranno i
Leader dei diversi network a farlo, persone preparate e
professionali
!
