- I'm talking to you today about Guts. To start or run a business you need to have guts every single day, not just on occasion.
- Starting a company is hard. Running a company is hard. Knowing when to stick, quit, start, stop, listen, ignore, raise money, bootstrap instead, all this is insanely hard. It takes Guts to do all these things.
- Some days look like this.
- Others feel like this.
- Sometimes there’s something truly terrifying to be done.
- There’s no epiphany. So don’t wait for one. No one will give you permission.
- This French high wire artist featured in the movie Man on Wire walked between between the twin towers in 1974 It took 6 years to plan. It was called "the artistic crime of the century.” What’s your artistic crime?
- When asked about her so called dare devilry and bravery, she answered: “It was an effort that took many thousands of hours to perfect, and was actually an art”
- It took some guts to start Squidoo at a time when blogging was accepted as the norm for user-generated content.

- BLANK ON PURPOSE! So I want to talk about Guts, how to have the guts even on the bad days. Guts isn’t a solution. But it’s one of the most important tools in your purse, and you can practice it and learn it. We don't all start out with guts. We freak. We worry. But there's a way to get there.
