1. How did I attract my audience =
Looking at my magazine I would say that the best way that I is by adding the sticker seen on
the cover age. The sticker is great to use as it attracts the audience’s attention as its easy to
see, on the page it has probably the most unusual shape allowing it to be easily seen
especially at the fact that the background is white while the sticker is black so it is easy to
see especially that the rest of the writing is red so the sticker is the easiest thing to see. The
writing in the sticker is white and red to against the black color of the sticker it is really easy
to seems very noticeable. On the sticker it says “2017’s hottest new bands”, when ether a
list is suggest talking about the best of something, ranking something it would always catch
the eyes of the viewer, it makes the audience want to read on as ranking something from
best to work is always going to get the audience’s attention because it’s fun and leaves
people to figure out their own ranking for the same subject. Another way my magazine
makes people attracted to it is but the pose used by the subject on the front cover, as
expected in rock magazines and artist the rock star would often have a crazy pose however
in my magazine the artist seems to be very calm, I feel like this would attract the audience’s
attention as although he looks like a rock star with what he’s wearing and the streak in his
hair he does not act like one , this makes the audience ask questions and would make them
want to know more about the artists as he seems different. I also included numerous
amounts of cover lines om my front cover, cover lines are a great way for the audience to
know what to expect to see in the magazine however not giving away too much away , the
cover lines would usually consist of and artists name in bold, so that their names can be
seen leaving fans interested, the names would be in bold allowing people to see the first,
under the names of the artist or the bands would be a quick description of what’s you can
expect however Its written in a way to confuse and make the audience ask questions, the
cover lines are also often exaggerated to make people interested such as calling some
artists rock Gods. The cover lines are written in a dark red which is easy to see against the
white or light grey back ground. To make the magazine cover look more appealing I also
added the free CD sign on the to right of the page, this catches the audiences eyes as they
get something free and in magazines the word free is always noticed quickly. Similarly, to
the last point I used a sticker on the top right of the page, the sticker is red and black so its
easy to see against the white and light grey background and it also cover the heading, on
the sticker it says exclusive, words like exclusive, limited and special are a good way to catch
the viewers’ attention as the these words used suggest that the magazine is rarer so
probably more valuable, this can also be seen on the bottom left of the page as it shows the
exclusive features in the magazine and in the case of my magazine is the numerous number
of big named artists or bands who are being interviewed or are involved in the magazine in
some way.
