Skateboarding originated in California in the late 1940s when surfers wanted something to do when the waves were flat. They took wooden boxes and boards and attached roller skate wheels to the bottom to ride. In the 1970s, a skateboard wheel made of polyurethane was developed to provide a smoother ride. Skateboarding grew in popularity in the 1980s as companies run by skateboarders focused on vert ramp skateboarding. Board styles have remained largely the same since the mid-1990s, derived from the freestyle boards of the 1980s with a symmetrical shape and narrow width.

This document outlines the key stages of the filmmaking process:
1) Development - An idea is developed into a script through writing and pitching to financiers. If funded, production begins.
2) Pre-Production - Cast and crew are hired, locations are selected, and production is planned through storyboarding and budgeting.
3) Production - Filming takes place where raw footage is recorded.
4) Post-Production - The film is edited, sound and visual effects are added, and the film is completed.
5) Distribution - The film is distributed to cinemas through duplication, advertising, and promotion. Thorough pre-production is important to successfully realize the filmmaker's vision.
The student learned about various technologies through constructing their product. They researched DVD openings like Saw and Nightmare on Elm Street to understand effective openings. They used YouTube to find inspiration and analyze clips, and to find recipes for fake blood. IMDB provided ideas for source materials and audience opinions. Thunder Chunky offered an interview about title sequences. Planning involved location scouting, scheduling, storyboarding, and animating the storyboard on SlideShare. Construction used Final Cut Pro for editing and effects, and a DSLR camera for filming different angles. YouTube converters downloaded songs for the score, which were added in Final Cut Pro. Evaluation distributed Word questionnaires and shared the video on YouTube to gather feedback.

Scientists have created a pill that can erase unwanted memories. Dutch researchers claim to have erased terrible memories using a beta blocker drug in experiments on humans. The drug interrupts the brain's memory formation and storage of frightening events. In one experiment, volunteers who were shown frightening images and given a shock were later calmer when shown the images again if they had received the beta blocker compared to a placebo. However, some experts argue that erasing memories could damage human identity and psychology since memories shape who we are. There are also concerns about ensuring the right memories are erased and whether effects of the drug would be permanent.
This document is a research paper on the importance of net neutrality. It discusses the history of the internet from its conception in the 1960s to its growth throughout the decades. It then explains what net neutrality is and why it is important for ensuring equal access and non-discrimination of websites. Without net neutrality, internet providers could block or degrade certain websites unless users pay more. The paper also addresses arguments against net neutrality and concludes by emphasizing the importance of maintaining the policy.
Centralized computer systems are increasingly used in pharmacies. They allow for complete patient medication profiles to be stored digitally, alerting to allergies and drug interactions. Computerized physician order entry systems reduce prescription errors but can still result in dosing mistakes. Robots are used in hospital pharmacies to automate filling prescriptions and verifying labels. Telepharmacy permits remote filling and consultation through computer networks. Centralized systems make information widely available for research while protecting patient privacy. Overall, information technology is transforming pharmacy work through automation and expanded access to care.
A boy named Daniel McGinnis discovered a mysterious site on Oak Island that sparked interest from others trying to decipher codes and solve its secrets. The healthcare system in the United States has gone through five phases of development. Phase I from 1850-1900 saw the establishment of large hospitals in cities but no organized healthcare. Phase II from 1900-WWII introduced scientific methods and government assistance for those unable to pay. Phase III from WWII-1980 sparked interest in social and organizational structure and growth of hospitals, insurance, and technology. Phase IV from 1980-present saw economic influences, rising costs, and more government involvement. A potential Phase V may focus on universal healthcare access and alternative medicine using new technologies. The system is also divided according to subgroups like private insurance for the middle class and government aid for the poor and military.
The document discusses the author's understanding of language and speech. The author believes that language is a shared code used to communicate ideas verbally or nonverbally, while speech refers specifically to anything spoken. Language is always communicative, but speech is not always so. For example, a dog barking is just speaking and not using language. The author also notes that language can be expressed verbally through speech or nonverbally through sign language, while speech is always verbal. A speech-language pathologist helps patients with both their speech and language abilities, as both are needed for proper communication.
LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

2. Media Productions
• In today’s world of technology it is important
to understand the effective way media
productions present information or ideas.
3. Special Effects
• Give movies some magic.
• Examples: Greenscreen effects, duplicating an
actor in the same place, moving objects (like
in the Harry Potter movies), forced
perspective (like in the Lord of the Rings
movies), walking backwards and reverse
footage, move slowly and play at faster
speeds, and lighting effects. (Guardian.co.uk).
(Answerjunket.com).
5. Process
• In the preproduction stage I prepared,
planned, and wrote a script for myself for the
production.
• In the production stage I made sure I had all of
the equipment needed. Then I started to film
the school, sports, an interview, and myself.
• In the postproduction stage I entered in all of
my footage, chose special effects, and
organized my video.
6. What I Have Learned
• I have learned much more about equipment
and special effects in my research.
• I learned and practiced patience while
creating the video.
• I have also gained confidence in this video
project.
