The document discusses the processes and techniques used to construct a media product. Specifically:
1) Elements of mise-en-scene like location, props, costumes, and makeup were selected to portray a country music artist.
2) An SLR digital camera was used to take high quality photographs outdoors, which is associated with the country music genre.
3) Camera techniques like focus and flash photography were employed, with flash particularly useful for night shots.

Q4. How did you use media technologies in the research, planning, constructio...holbeau
This particular SlideShare highlights the key aspects of technology used throughout the process of the creation of my promotional package consisting of a promotional music video, digipak and promotional poster in combination with one another.

What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing the
product?
2. Process
• The processes I went through to create my media
product included preparing and gathering
elements of mise-en-scene is which will be
relevant to my products. By this I picked the
location, setting in which was outdoors, props
which in some images were instruments such a
an acoustic guitar and a tambourine. Costume
and make-up were influenced by the
stereotypical style of Country artist portrayed in
the media found by research
3. Photography
• When constructing my product I took my
photographs with the use of an SLR digital
camera. The use of this professional camera
allowed my images to appear in a high quality
format. Photography was a key element in
making my product, if the photos do not look
legitimate then it will not pass as a media
music magazine
4. Camera techniques
• I specifically took my photos outdoors, findings were
able to tell me the genre Country is associated with the
representation of nature. The camera techniques I was
able to make use of was focus and flash photography.
The use of focus allows the audience to pay more
attention to one thing in an image rather than another.
Flash photography was the technique I made use of
more than the rest as it was able to bring a certain light
to the subject matter of the image. For example I
purposely took a number of my images at night, the
effectiveness of this is that the flash is more evident as
there was no form of sunlight clashing
5. Production
• Within the process of production I was able to
use YouTube to browse possible effects in
which I could present on my products. The
post production program I used were Adobe
Photoshop and Pixelmator which covered the
editing of the products
6. Showcasing research
• I have made a great use of web applications and
online forums to showcase my research and
planning, drafting, final products and evaluation.
These include:
• Prezi
• Slideshare
• YouTube
• Powtoon
• Wikispace
