This document discusses revisions made to promotional materials for a band. The key points discussed are: 1) The original poster design featured a logo over a background photo but was revised to use a triangle symbol to represent unity between band members. 2) Photos taken during a holiday were considered for the new design, with a tide going out selected to portray calmness. 3) The triangle was added to this photo and desaturated to give it a calm grey look, completing the revised album cover background idea.

3. Comparison of the two
This has the logo like mine The band logo is central over a
over the picture in the background I constructed in Photoshop

displays the information logo, this leads people to reading the
information after seeing the logo, also I
have included the sponsor of the band

4. Things I used to make my ancilary
Using Photoshop I managed to
get trees from a picture and the
sun and mountains , I managed
to fit this picture I took to the top
of the picture, a good base to put
my logo and text over.

I feel my genre has been
represented in the
ancillaries and the picture
of the band, 1 fits with this
idea of nature, 2 fits with
the lyrics of the song

7. After close consideration to my poster I decided that I could do a better
one using more conventions and one that would look better and be fit for
purpose.
Using the songs idea about unity between friends I decided that the best
idea was to use a triangle on the front cover I have taken this idea from
other bands that have portrayed this using triangles as covers
These album cover proved to be very effective with fans of the band who
believed the band genuinely has this strong bond

8. Using shots I took on holiday last year using a Nikon DSLR 3100D I captured
sea and landscape, I decided to use the picture of the tide going out in my
artwork as well, the calm serenity shown in the picture portrays the band and
the song very well

9. EDDITING
I added the triangle to the normal picture and
using the fade tool on photo shop took 20% of the
saturation out of the triangle giving it a calm grey
look
