The document describes edits made to an image for a music magazine cover. The original image was based on photos of DJ Avicii and rapper Drake, combining a medium close-up shot from Drake with details from Avicii's photo. For the image I used on the front cover of my music magazine, I loosely based it around the two
images below, one of the DJ, Avicii and the other of the rapper, Drake. I used a medium close-up
shot, this could possibly make the audience feel on more of a personal/informal level with the artist.
After taking the original image, I removed the background so that it would fit in with my colour and
also altered the hue and saturation so that it enhanced the skin tone to make it look a bit brighter
and stand out from the white background of my front cover.
I based my photograph positioning on the photo of Drake, and I took the light background and paid
great attention to the detail that is achieved in the photo of Avicii. These two combined would
produce a detailed medium close-up photograph on a light background.
