- 1. H A R RY D O S H E R A S M E D I A HOW MUCH HAVE I ADVANCED FROM MY MINOR TASK
- 2. EDITING SKILLS • I find that my editing skills have improved a lot since I first did my minor task, I have used to use both trim and cut tools opposed to relying heavily on the trim which I used entirely to edit the minor task while during my first draft I became dependent on the cut tool to take big chunks of my work out.
- 3. FILMING SKILLS • It was a fair jump from the 25 second clip that I did to then do a 2 minute clip including polished shot reverse shots, a variety of shots including high low and head level shots. During my minor task I only had two shot reverse shots but in my first and final draft I had to deal with lighting and noise. • I wasn’t in a classroom with near perfect lighting I also needed to make sure I kept the 180 degree rule was kept in order which was simple enough with my actors sitting at a table, in all I had to take into account many factors while filming.

TIME MANAGEMENT • My minor task took me a little over 20 minutes to film and about the same amount of time to edit but with my first and defiantly final draft I did not plan or expect the editing process to take so long, by the time I had finished filming my first draft I had 8 minutes of footage that I had to scan through slowly re-filming if I had to too try and find the best product and keep it at around 2 minutes. • this took lots of time and effort to keep up to date and also manage to keep my written work up to date, I feel that this then prepared me for my final draft which I did completely from scratch but what I learnt from the other drafts was that more footage is better then not enough.

IN CONCLUSION • I found that undertaking the minor task helped me develop my skills further and I was able to consistently use my skills to create something I enjoy doing and that I'm proud of. • I have found this assessment hard but I have been determined and pushed through despite some bad moments but I feel that I have positively improved since the minor task back at the beginning of the year.
