2. Through all my options for my distributors such as Harris Publication or spin
media I ended up deciding with JPC media to be my distributor.
3. JPC
I chose JPC because it appeared
to be the most beneficial option,
the reason why I say this because
my typical and specific audience
is for those who are interested in
hip hop, grime, jazz RnB, for this
type of genre it normally appeals
to the black community that being
the African Americans. With that
being mentioned my typical
audience is therefore black
people, by applying with JPC who
are also mainly focused in the
same area of people. By
distributing with them it would
allow me to reach my audience
much easier and quicker.
4. Reasons…
Another reason which why I chose JPC is because if I was to have chosen
Harris Publication I would have found it to be pointless, the reason I say this
is simply because Harris Publication already have a magazine that publish
similar content like me. Whereas JPC doesn’t, which will also expand JPC
branches within the media especially in the UK.
JPC doesn’t have content that strictly focuses on the hip hop, grime, jazz
and RnB music in their media in result meaning JPC may potentially reach
a greater awareness in the UK since if New Era Music magazine was to
distribute with JPC would be the first in the UK with such content.
Since we have the same typical audience, it would be easier distributing
my magazine by using similar tactics used by the other magazine such as
JET or EBONY.
5. Types of distribution used
Magazine: this would obviously be the main source of distribution which
will be a monthly issue coming out in both the UK and the USA,
Apps: since their has been an increase in technology, the use of apps
would allow the magazine to keep up with technology and also allow
more accessibility to the magazine.
Twitter/Facebook/Instagram websites: social network is the most popular
source of information and used source of media, with that being mention
if having a website this will also allow greater accessibility and exposure.
Issues of the magazine would be updated daily
