This document promotes anti-aging products from a company called ageLOC. It discusses breakthrough genetic approaches to target the sources of aging inside and outside the body. The company's products include ageLOC Transformation topical gel and ageLOC Vitality supplements. Clinical studies suggest these products can improve physical vigor, mental acuity, and sexual health by influencing genes related to mitochondrial function and resetting markers of aging. The document emphasizes the science and safety testing behind the company's products and approach to anti-aging.
Scientists prioritize certain objectives and goals over others when engaging in public communication. The top priorities include informing and educating the public about scientific issues, generating interest and excitement about science, and defending science against falsehoods. However, simply increasing science literacy and knowledge may have limited impact, and scientists are often seen as competent but cold. More emphasis could be placed on objectives like showing the public that scientists care about society and are open and transparent. The effectiveness of different engagement tactics also requires further research.
This document summarizes a presentation given by Karen Timberlake on improving health at the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation Gathering. It discusses how the US spends more on healthcare than other countries but has poorer health outcomes. It highlights factors outside of clinical care like behaviors, social and economic factors, and the physical environment that influence health. The presentation provides examples of collaborative community efforts in Brown and Menominee counties to improve early childhood development and reduce childhood obesity. It encourages participants to think about how they can influence health through their work and leadership in their communities.
treatment seeking behaviour of leprosy patientsAshok Kanuri
The document summarizes research on the treatment seeking behavior of leprosy patients in Visakhapatnam, India. It finds that socio-demographic factors like age, sex, occupation, and type of diagnosis influence the delay in seeking treatment. Males and daily laborers experienced longer delays. Stigma around leprosy was also found to negatively impact patients' quality of life, education, employment, and marital prospects. Scales to measure perceived, internalized, and enacted stigma showed high rates of stigma among the patients studied. Overcoming misconceptions around leprosy's curability and eliminating discrimination were identified as key to reducing stigma.
This document discusses geriatric nursing and the aging process. It defines geriatric nursing as providing nursing care to older adults. Aging is defined as a natural maturational process involving physical and psychological declines over time. Factors that influence aging include hereditary, environmental, socioeconomic, and lifestyle factors. The document also examines theories of aging, standards of geriatric nursing practice, and age-related changes to the body systems that nurses must assess and care for in older patients.
Background: Post-menopausal women experience many physical, emotional, and mental symptoms during the post-menopausal period, and reflexology has grown into a complex therapeutic modality and has a range of effects. Reflexology will help put hormones back into a normal state and act like a process of emotional cleansing, relieving stress and restoring harmony to the body and soul. Hence, foot reflexology seems to be effective in treating post-menopausal symptoms. Methods: In the present study, pre-experimental i.e. one group pretest-posttest design, was adopted. The study was conducted on 30 post-menopausal women to assess their knowledge regarding foot reflexology. Samples were selected by using a convenient sampling technique. Data was collected using a structured knowledge questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The mean percentage of the pre-test score was 28%, and the post-test score was 76.65%. The mean and the standard deviation of the pre-test score were 5.60±1.71, and the mean and the standard deviation of the post-test score were 15.33±1.15. The total mean and standard deviation are 9.73±2.07 by comparing the pre-test and post-test scores. Hence, it was found that there is a significant difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge scores of post-menopausal women regarding foot reflexology. No significant association was found between post-test knowledge scores and socio-demographic variables on foot reflexology. Conclusion: The study concluded that a planned teaching program on knowledge regarding foot reflexology for post-menopausal women was a scientific, logical, and cost-effective strategy to reduce post-menopausal symptoms.

A Study on Life Satisfaction of Disability Peopleijtsrd
Disability has a major impact on daily life and satisfaction in the activities of daily life, such as motor function, defecation, urination, bathing, and moving. Recently, the disability paradigm has gradually emphasized environmental factors and, changes have resulted, such as deinstitutionalization, the spread of independent living for persons with disabilities, and an increase in the desire for social participation. However, negative perceptions and attitudes toward persons with disabilities remain because of low expectations for their achievements and the tendency that they perceive themselves to be potentially rejected by society, which reduces their social participation. Social participation indicates participation in the interweaving of occupations to support desired engagement in community and family activities as well as those involving peers and friends that support social interdependence. Social participation indicates participation in the interweaving of occupations to support desired engagement in community and family activities as well as those involving peers and friends that support social interdependence. This study conclude that 48.3 of respondents are moderate level of life satisfaction of disability people, 33.3 of the respondents are low level of life satisfaction of disability people and 18.4 of the respondents are high level of life satisfaction of disability people. Measuring effectiveness in the finnish inclusive social securityMinna Kivipelto
Five Finnish municipalities are developing and testing new inclusive social security models, with each municipality designing their own model. The models aim to reduce clients' dependence on social assistance and facilitate employment by using participatory and empowering social work methods. Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of the new systems by analyzing data from over 600 client assessments and comparing social assistance usage between participating and non-participating municipalities.

Realist evaluation integrated into the social work client database systemMinna Kivipelto
This document discusses integrating a realist evaluation approach into social work client database systems. It explores what this would require from professionals and organizations based on empirical data from social workers. A realist evaluation allows examining how social work goals are reached among clients in different circumstances. The study found that digital tools could help connect information on goals, mechanisms and contexts if developed together with professionals. However, tools need to be simple enough to use in everyday work and not add extra forms. An integrated system across organizations could enable national effectiveness evaluations.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.
