4. Purpose of Tender Documents
Tender documents are prepared and sent out to
potential tenderers to seek tenders.
To provide guidance on how the tender documents
should be completed.
To set out the legal framework and the obligations
between both parties.

To prevent corruption in the tender process:-
To proof that they have not colluded with any other party
to fix or adjust the tender price during the preparation of
tender.
7. Form of Tender
A form of tender covered the documents prepared by
the Client and signed by the tenderer:-
to indicate that they understand the tender and accept
the various terms and conditions of the contract, and
other requirements of participating in the tender.
8. Conditions of Contract
Sets out the contractual terms that will be used:-

9. Instructions to Tenderer
To explain some rules you need to follow while
preparing the tender:-
Inform you how to submit your tender and alerts you to
some things to be aware of.
If you do not follow the rules set out, there is a risk your
tender will be rejected.
10. Conditions of Tendering
Tenders shall be submitted in writing on the forms
provided.
The condition that need to be complied with by the
tenderer in the submission of tender.
Any supplementary documents shall be signed and
dated.
11. General Summary of Tender
Collection of all the proceed of bills of all sections of
the projects:-
For tenderer to insert his sectional summary to arrive at a
total amount which later becomes the Contract Sums.

start.

13. Preamble

14. Specification

Workmanship
They do not include cost, quantity or drawn information
15. Bills of Quantities
As the basis of submitting the bid where all prices are
entered for carrying out all works.
The bill of quantities assists tenderers in producing an
estimate of:-
Construction costs for their tender, and, as it means all
tenderers will be pricing the same quantities.
It also provides a fair and accurate system for
tendering.
Each invited tenderer bids against the bill of quantities,
stating their price for each work item.
16. List of P.C. and Provisional
Sums
An allowance, for the supply of work or materials to be
provided by a supplier:-
This allowance exclude any of the profit mark up
or attendance.
Inserted into tender documents for a specific element of
the works that is not yet defined in enough detail.
17. Drawings
List of drawings prepare by the Architect, Engineers and
etc.
These are clear and concise detailed documents about
the construction site, path construction and any related
feature works.
Showing the allocation on each and every particular
scope of works and its location.
18. Schedule of Work/Finishes
Schedules simply list the work required.
Any information about quality should be provided by
reference to:-

Information about location
Information about size
A detail finishes for the whole building.
19. Daywork rates
Contractor is paid for specifically instructed work on the
basis of the cost of:-
Labour
Materials
Plant
Machineries
Along with a mark up for overheads and profit.
Generally used when work cannot be priced in the
normal way.
20. Bank Guarantee Form
A guarantee from the bank ensuring that the liabilities
of a debtor will be met.
In other words, if the debtor fails to settle a debt, the
bank will cover it.
