Description:
The Meadow Run (0273DP) Pond Improvement was substantially completed on February 25, 2019. The
site is located within the Bull Neck Run Watershed. The project replaced a deteriorating control
structure and primary spillway, increased the storage volume and incorporated water quality
improvements through the use of extended detention, wetland plantings and increased travel time.
The project also upgraded the maintenance access.
Project Overview:
• Removal of existing corrugated metal riser and principal spillway pipe (PSP) and replacement with
reinforced concrete riser and PSP including a drop structure with a manhole to reduce slope
• Regrading of the pond to accommodate the water quality volume for water quality benefit
• Construction of Geoblock Access Road for future maintenance
• Construction of imbricated plunge pools at the pond inflow and outfall
• Construction of deflection berm with splash boulder face to lengthen the flow path
