FRICTION STIR WELDING OF ALUMINIUM ALLOYS - A REVIEWIAEME Publication
This welding is a novel process used to join metallic alloys. Friction stir welding is in vogue in aerospace, automotive and other industrial establishments for connecting alloys like aluminum, magnesium and copper. Rotational speed, welding speed and the angle of attack are important in the process of FSW. They analyze the weld quality. FSW produces stronger weld joint then the original material in selected parameters. FSW is a solid-state process, where metal is not melted uses a cylindrical shouldered tool with a profiled pin rotated and gradually plunged into the weld joint between two metal parts of plate or sheet that are to be welded together.
Design and Structural Analysis of 3 Axis CNC Milling Machine Tableijtsrd
In the field of Engineering, the solution of many complex problems is great limitless and usually impossible by analytical methods. For high exactness and repeatability, machine tools are used in industrial operation. Normally, several components such as base, knee, saddle, machine table, column and headstock, column are the main parts of the machine tools to get reliable performance. The work piece is held and supported on the machine table. A machine table should be enough rigid and must have good mechanical properties, to obtain a good finished and accurate work piece on a three axis CNC milling machine. A finite element analysis FEA gives a methodical study of failure principle which helps for additional progress of the 3 axis machine tables. In this paper, Static Analysis is performed on machine table to find out stresses generated in table, deformation of the table due to its weight. The finite element analysis is done by making 3D geometry in Solidworks software and analyse by using ANSYS software. The material comparison is shown in table and Grey Cast Iron is more dependable than other materials. Student Work Experience Programme (SWEP 1) Technical Report by Michael AgwulonuMichael Agwulonu
Student Work Experience Programme is a structured, career-related experience programme in which the students perform tasks that contribute to their knowledge and widen their knowledge of their various fields. This programme is designed to give students the right attitude towards work.
Student Work Experience Programme is a programme designed to complement the theoretical knowledge to be acquired by the students in the academic environment for a period of 4 weeks in different workshops/laboratories in each department within the Faculty of Engineering.
This Technical Report is an account of 4 weeks work experience in the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. It briefly discusses the general overview of SWEP, the aims and objectives of SWEP, the code of conduct in the workshops, the duration period of SWEP for the 2019/2020 academic session, the SWEP orientation programme, and the order of projects in Chapter one. Chapter two briefly talks about the overview of the project 1 (production of extension box), the apparatus and materials used in the production, the procedures of operation, and the precautions taken during production. Chapter three briefly discusses the overview of the project 2 (production of industrial gas burner), the apparatus and materials used in the production, the procedures of operation, and the precautions taken during production. Chapter four discusses on the overview of the project 3 (production of interlocks), the apparatus and materials used in the production, the procedures of operation, and the precautions taken during production. Chapter five highlights on the overview of the project 4 (production of frying pan), the apparatus and materials used in the production, the procedures of operation, and the precautions taken during production. Chapter six concluded my report with my personal recommendations. Then, follows my references.

Implementation of 5S technique leads to subsequent improvement in productivity of the manufacturing company. The 5S improves environmental performance and thus relate primarily in reduction of wastes in manufacturing. It promotes neatness in storage of raw material and finished products. The 5S implementation leads to the improvement of the organization in many ways for instance. The implementation of the 5S system of rules leads to the following effects regarding the improvement in quality.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

PROCESSES
CATHODIC ELECTRO DEPOSITION
10. current to deposit aqueous dispersed resins and pigments onto a conductive substrate. The
advantages of CED coating are High corrosion protection right into every corner, uniform coat
thickness structure, good adhesion behavior. Coating of hollow parts and work pieces with
complicated geometries possible.
POWDER COATING AS TOP COAT
Powder coating is a dry finishing process which uses electrostatic spray deposition
principle. Powder paint particles are charged using an electrostatic spray gun and sprayed on to
11. the grounded parts. The powder coated parts are then cured in a hot air circulating oven to
produce long molecular chains, resulting in high cross-link density coating. Powder coatings are
generally harder and offer improved impact, abrasion, chemical resistance, and superior exterior
weather ability over most liquid coatings.
GEOMET COATING
GEOMET is a proprietary water-based coating dispersion containing metal oxides,
metallic zinc and aluminum flakes. The zinc and aluminum platelets align in multiple layers
forming a metallic silver-grey coating. Applied as a liquid, the coating becomes totally inorganic
12. after curing.
LIQUID COATING AS TOP COAT
Spray painting is a process by which liquid paint is applied under pressure to an object.
Spray painting may be carried out by hand or automatically. There are several methods used to
atomize the paint for spraying. Conventional air compressor – compressed air is used to draw
liquid paint out of the container and produce an air-paint mist from the nozzle of the spray-gun.
13. Electrostatic spray painting – an electric pump drives the electrostatic ally charged liquid paint
out of the nozzle which is then applied to the object which is earthed.
