17. Be yourself and don’t let a great opportunity pass
you up, there are a lot of them.
-Elena R.
Tips for our future 5th graders:
My advice for incoming 5th graders is, be prepared
and figure out your organization. Also if you get
behind it is fine just keep going and you will get
there. And last but not least get ready to do a lot of
work, but learn a lot.
-Oliver H.
You have to step it up it is harder than elementary
school.

33. Suggestions for the new WGMS students:
Make sure to write all the assignments and due dates in your planner so you do not forget to
do your work. It is helpful to write reminder notes in your planner. You can also use post-it
notes to stick reminder notes on the inside of your locker door.
Keep your locker organized so you can quickly find what you need for your upcoming classes.
Using a Case-It can be very helpful to keep your school papers and supplies organized and
easy to find when you are in class.
At the beginning of the school year, keep your class schedule out so you know which class to
go to and where it is located.
Get involved in extracurricular activities so you can discover new talents and make new
friends.
Do not be afraid to ask for help when you need it- your teachers are happy to help you!
If you are not happy with a grade you received you may be able to redo the assignment or
test-just ask your teacher.
Make sure you are checking Skyward and Outlook every few days to see your grades and
emails!
Be kind, respectful, and helpful. We are a Wildcat family and are all in this together!
Don't give up; just keep on trying!
You will not have success unless you try.
Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.
