Build Booming Mindset…
Sometimes nothing seems to turn out the way you had planned, no matter how hard you attempt. Regardless of where the stress is stemming from, it is essential to equip yourself with resources to rise above the negativity and stay positive. Maintaining a positive attitude can help alleviate stress and assist in accomplishing your objectives. When you feel like you have hit a dead end, and start to sense any negativity, stop! Here are a few tips on how to remain positive even when you are in challenging situations.
Goal setting - Adrian Fleming
There are many ways people suggest you set goals and make things happen but many of them are far from productive.
First of all you have the advice that is more like a set of affirmations such as don’t use the words “I can’t” or saying make sure you enjoy what you do. But living in the real world where results count, because that’s how we entrepreneurs profit, I always want people to be, not just realistic and positive, but also very clear on what goals are, why they have them and when the are most valuable.
Let’s start out with the main reasons that people don’t get things done or take their ideas and make something happen for themselves, fear, distractions, procrastination and fundamentally and aversion to risk. But I don’t want to dwell on reason why things are not happening when just setting goals can solve most of this for you.
There are some specific details that relate to you that are imperative, these are
What you want
Why
And how you are going to get there
There’s no secret to those but there are a few techniques you can apply to make goal setting easy and the results you get far more likely to be realised, so let me share these with you.
First of all, be very specific on goals, the more specific the better which means setting targets, for example the number of leads you want to attract per day, the number of sales you want to make a week, the profitability of the average sale. And this doesn’t just apply to business because if you were looking to get fit and loose weight, you should be having a specific weight loss goal in a specific timescale – this is why people who have an end goal, like running a marathon stay focused and are more likely to get there, so apply the same logic to your entrepreneurial activities too.
Here’s the other point, and we can use the marathon idea again as a great way to explain things. When you have a goal, share it with others because this makes you, what I call, accountable because if there’s one thing we humans hate to do, it’s fail publicly and have to explain whey we failed. The reality is pain is a better motivation than opportunity – another tactic that can be used all across your entrepreneurial journey in areas like marketing too. learn more at http://AdrianFleming.com

A plan that will help improve your happiness, well-being and give you more direction and purpose in life.
I hope it helps you like it has been helping me :)

To grow in life and in business, we all need to look within to understand what opportunities have we neglected and what threats might we face to hinder our progress.
How is Well-Being critical to the future of leadership?myosh team
What’s covered?
We now live in an era where our workforces and our families are wanting different interactions, different ‘way of being’ and a more respectful way of having conversations. Leaders are being required more and more to “know thyself” which means in terms of well-being understanding and learning how they can work well and live well.
Session outcomes:
What does working well and living well look like?
How the Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey (GLWS) profile is the first step in educating leaders on their own well-being.
Where do you need to focus to increase your own well-being?
Our daily activities can bring us joy, happiness, and fulfillment if we are clear on its purposes on why we engage into those activities. Here are 4 questions you should ask yourself to help you experience more joy and happiness in your daily activities.
2. Maximise your Impact
Whichever role you find yourself in, as a leader, business owner, parent or
partner, having a positive impact on those around you affects how
happy and satisfied you are with your life.
How you behave, and therefore the impact you make, is a reflection of
how you see and feel about yourself. Taking time to reflect on your
achievements and how you have coped with challenges in the year will
raise your self-awareness and contribute to your sense of well-being.
I have been writing a book for newly appointed leaders, addressing the
issues that can possibly de-rail them, and exercises to help maximise their
impact in their new role. I have taken some ideas from this book to
create this small workbook of questions which will help you reflect on
different aspects of your life, questions to consider that will help you to
maximise your impact.
Treat yourself to a journal and record your thoughts as
you work through the questions. Enjoy!
3. Questions to Maximise your Impact
Impact
Mindset
People
Awareness
Challenges
Time for Me
4. Impact
There are many factors that contribute to the impact you have on
others; what you do, what you say and how you say it.
• What have you done this year that has had the most positive impact?
• What did this do for you personally?
• What did this do for others ?
• What skills and resources did you use to make it happen?
• What kind of positive impact do you want to have next year?
• What actions and resources do you need to take to achieve this?
5. Mindset
Our actions are driven by how we feel, and how we feel is directly
linked, although often unconsciously, to what we are thinking about.
To have a positive impact, it’s essential to be aware of your inner
feelings and thoughts.
• When you are performing at your best, what are you feeling & thinking?
• What have you done this year that took courage?
• When you are at your most productive, what are you feeling & thinking?
• What fears have you overcome this year?
• What mindset do you need to adopt to have a more positive impact?
6. People
To have a positive impact on others, it’s important to know how to
relate to those around you. We all have different personality styles,
different ways of thinking and being. When we start to respect each
other’s styles, we start to connect at a deeper level.
• Which relationships have had the biggest impact on you this year?
• Who have you had the most positive impact and how do you know?
• Who are your drains and radiators? (who saps your energy/do you warm to?)
• Which drains do you need to minimise?
• Who would you like to build a deeper relationship with next year?
7. Awareness
Simply having an awareness of what causes you to have a positive or
negative impact is the beginning of being able to make changes.
• When did you exceed expectations this year?
• Which strengths have served you well?
• What self-beliefs have enable you to have a positive impact?
• What have you been most proud of this year?
• What skills do you still need to develop?
• What new beliefs will enable you to have a more positive impact?
8. Challenges
How you manage the challenges that life throws at you will affect
how others see you. Do you hide under the covers while pointing the
finger of blame, or do you tackle the situation head on?
• What has been your biggest challenge this year?
• How did you tackle it? What resources did you call on?
• What will you differently if something similar happens again?
• Which challenges do you run from?
• What skills can you develop to help you face difficult challenges in the future?
9. Time for Me
When you are stretched and stressed, you will find it more difficult to
respond to challenging situations in a measured and positive way.
Looking after yourself is essential to have maximum impact.
• Have you been happy with your work/life balance this year?
• If not, what changes would you like to make for the year ahead?
• What adventures have you had this year?
• How often have you found time to relax?
• Make a list of your interests and hobbies – what would you like to add?
• What would you like to do more of next year?
• What else can you do to make more time for you?
10. Summary
Whether you plan to or not, you are having an impact on those
around you. You can choose to carry on doing what you’re doing, or
choose to work on having a more positive impact – we all have room
for improvement!
I hope you have found the questions thought-provoking, and that as
a result, 2013 will be more rewarding and fulfilling in whatever role
you play.
