3. Saint Anthony’s Early Life Saint Anthony was born in 1195 A.D.. His baptismal name is Ferdinand At age 15 he entered the order of Saint Augustine Thereafter he was a Franciscan friar

The host of the ceremony asked if any of the Franciscan friars could say the speech. All of the friars backed down except for Saint Anthony. When he spoke to the people his gift for preaching was revealed.
