Aortic Valve Replacement
Aortic stenosis is the most common valvular heart disease of the developed world. About 7% of
the population over age 65 suffer from degenerative aortic stenosis. The prognosis of patients with
symptomatic severe aortic stenosis is known to be dismal without valve replacement. Even though
American College of Cardiologyrecommends aortic valve replacement as a class I
recommendation to treat symptomatic severe aortic stenosis, approximately a third of these
patients over the age of 75 are still not referred for surgery. Typically, this is due to concern about
prohibitive surgical risk due to patient frailty, co morbidities, age, and severe left ventricular
dysfunction. The advent of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in Europe raised the
hope for an alternative, less invasive treatment for aortic stenosis in the United States. We present a
review of the existing and emerging literature pertaining to TAVR, including the PARTNER
(Placement of AoRTic TraNscathetER Valve Trial Edwards SAPIEN Transcatheter Heart
Valve) and
CoreValve trials. Although surgical valve replacement (SAVR) remains the modality of choice for
patients with severe aortic stenosis and low to intermediate operative risk for now, TAVR has
certainly become the preferred approach for high risk patients, and it may gain traction for low and
intermediate... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Beginning Of Foreign Aid Essay
Introduction: 1.The beginning of Foreign Aid
All human beings regardless of their background require a set of resources to survive. These are
food, water, shelter and clothing in addition to this, healthcare, education and sanitation are also
essential for a person s wellbeing. In 1949 Truman s Inaugural Address we must embark on a bold
new program for making the benefits of our scientific advances and industrial progress available for
the improvement and growth of underdeveloped areas raised awareness of the fundamental belief
that countries that are far more developed should be assisting underdeveloped countries to improve
their living standards. Aid is the giving of money, goods and advice by one country to another. The
principle of giving and supporting others through foreign aid blossomed during the 1960 s,
technological advances provided opportunities for televised reporting in the United States of
inhumane situations in other underdeveloped countries. The idea of tackling poverty took hold and
the UN and Bretton Woods Institutions (originally formed for post war reconstruction) became
mechanisms for action on development. 2. Why should we help?
After a reading a considerable amount, poverty has consistently been a vocal point of discussion
when addressing critical humanitarian issues such as: famine, drought, crime, population
management and much more. Global organisations have attempted to provide accurate data of
distribution of wealth around the

Daisy And Jay In The Great Gatsby
Gatsby fully introduces himself to Nick while they are riding one of his luxurious cars. Gatsby
wants to ensure that Nick is aware of the truthfulness of his background, so he won t have to make
judgements based on the rumors that were spread during the parties. He conveys that once his
family died, they left a great sum of money for him. With this money, Gatsby lived an opulent life
in different parts of Europe amassing his time by committing to various activities such as collecting
jewels, hunting, painting, and attempting to forget a disheartening moment in his past. Nick wants
to laugh at Gatsby s story because it is very intricate and seems unreasonable in that there aren t big
games to hunt nor chiefly rubies available in Europe. There is a great vitality of mystique
surrounding Gatsby because of his false, yet interesting stories.
Jordan and Nick are having a dinner, in which Jordan reveals the conversation that she had with
Gatsby and the favor that he wants from Nick. Jordan describes the scene that unfolded the day
before Daisy s wedding. Daisy had received a letter from Gatsby, possibly telling her to wait for
him, but she knew that it was too late. Although her love for Gatsby was genuine, she knew that rich

Essay on The Speckled Band and The Man with the Twisted Lip
Examine the settings which Arthur Conan Doyle has chosen for his stories in The Speckled
Band and The Man with the Twisted Lip. Consider the effects the writer has created and how they
contribute to the atmosphere. Arthur Conan Doyle s character, Sherlock Holmes, lived in
Victorian London during the 19th century. His perception of the streets is portrayed as a dark and
isolated environment. The atmosphere was far from welcoming. The streets were overrun with
crime, beggars and prostitutes. Through the dense smog, the gas lamps provided feeble lighting
which flickered as passer bys walked on their way. The odour which drifted through the air was
vile. This was the result of no sewage system and low levels of hygiene. In... Show more content on

A.C. Doyle reinforces its undesirable presence by describing it as vile . The reader will instantly
see that it is a dirty, eerie place where no one would want to be. It is also personified as lurking
which gives it a sense of hidden mystery. Holmes and Watson s journey is prolonged and
tiresome as they travel through: the endless succession of sombre and deserted streets This
description is effective because it makes the reader think of the continuous series of streets
which have no definite end and lead to nowhere. The adjective sombre makes the reader think of
a dull, dismal space containing emptiness. Everything Watson and Holmes pass along their way
appears to be gloomy and depressing: another dull wilderness of bricks , ...a dull wrack. , star
twinkled dimly Stars are expected to be bright, however here it is described in a contrasting
manner. Although it is twinkling, it is still dim. The reader may imagine that these streets are so
dismal not even the brightest star could appear as it is. As the reader is taken to the setting of
the opium den, it feels as if they have been lead to an even more discomforting place. The steps
lead: down to a black gap It is like being transported to a cold and sinister place. The reader is given
the feeling of being taken down to hell. They are unaware of what lies beneath,

Marriage, Divorce and Celibacy
Abstract
This paper explores the Apostle Paul s teachings on marriage, divorce, remarrying and celibacy.
This teaching on marriage is found in 1 Corinthians 7. In his teachings Paul gives advice to the
unmarried in, he gives advice to those who divorce, separate, wish to remarry and gives advice to
those who are married. Along with the teachings of Paul we will also explore the rating of

The husband must love his wife as he loves himself and must not divorce his wife.
Another thing that we learn from Paul is about the problems in marriage and divorce. Paul
teaches about some of the most common marital problems. A big marital problem is sex and
faithfulness. God tell us that our bodies belong to him, we must flee from sexual immorality and
that anyone who sins sexually sins against their own bod because our bodies belong to our spouse.
A husband must not go and seek sex outside the marriage nor go to the courts to force his wife to
have sex with him. The wife must not deprive herself from her husband and causing
Marriage, Divorce and Celibacy him to fall into temptation to seek sex outside the marriage. We
learn about divorce in Matthew 5:32 which says But I say to you that everyone who divorces his
wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman
commits adultery. A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives and must not separate
from him and a husband should not divorce his wife. Paul taught us that marriage is hard and there
will be many hard times but we must learn to get through it with God as our guidance.
In today s world so many people are more concerned with their own needs and wants that they
forget completely about God and his commandments. People are more concerned with pleasing
themselves and are more concerned with their own sexual desires that

It could be the indoor regulator. In the event that the issue is with the indoor regulator, you re
fortunate that is typically a much less expensive fix than the heater.
Once you ve affirmed that the heater is not the issue, there are a few things you can do to
investigate all alone before calling a repairman. On the off chance that those don t work, then it s
an ideal opportunity to enlist a jack of all trades or HVAC expert to repair or supplant the
gadget.(Kompareit.com, 2016)
Broken indoor regulator can bring about amazing temperature swings, a heater that cycles on and
off too oftentimes or a heater that does not create heat. To see whether the indoor regulator is the
issue, swing it to the inverse setting (in case you re utilizing the warmth, turn the indoor regulator

Mesothelioma Research Paper
What is Mesothelioma?
Mesothelioma is a unusual form of cancer that occurs in the mesothelium (a thin layer of tissue that
covers most of our internal organs.) In most cases, the tissue near the lungs is affected. However,
cases have been reported in which other body organs are affected with this condition. This form of
cancer is extremely aggressive and often proves deadly if it is malignant Mesothelioma.
Know the Risk Factors
Although quite a few materials can possibly cause this disease, mesothelioma is mainly attributed
to exposure to asbestos as reported by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry of the
CDC. In addition, Asbestos has been classified by the EPA as a human carcinogen.
According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), exposure to asbestos increases
the risk of developing malignant Mesothelioma. The latency period for the disease is ... Show more

This exposure affects individuals in different ways. Few factors are involved, including frequency,
concentration and duration of exposure as well as the size, shape and chemical makeup of the
fibers that determine your chances of contracting Mesothelioma.
It is normal to feel concerned about Mesothelioma if you have experienced chronic exposure to
asbestos. Doctors advise that such people should get regular chest x rays or CT scans. They
should also get lung function tests as these tests can spot problems caused by asbestos fibers. If
any problems are detected, you must obtain a professional Mesothelioma diagnosis. In the event of
being diagnosed with Mesothelioma, you have the rights for filing a lawsuit. A Mesothelioma
lawsuit can help you claim imbursement for the additional costs borne in dealing with this disease
as well as for the resulting emotional distress and

Critical Analysis Of Agunpakhi
Agunpakhi, published in April 2008 is the first full fledged novel written by Hassan Ajizul Haque.
He was born in1939 in West Bengal and just after the completion of his school studies, his family
had to leave India for East Bengal to avoid any insidious after effect of the partition. Atin
Bandyapadhaya and Sunanda Sikdar both left East Bengalfor West Bengalbut Ajizul Haque was
one, who left West Bengal for East Bengal. Ordinarily, the critics tend to take it as altogether a
feminist novel, but an in depth study may bring out the truth that it is a tale of metamorphosis or a
total transformation of a humanself into a metaphorical phoenix, born out of the fire of riot. It s a
tale of a woman, who struggles within and ultimately is purified. She becomes bold and decisive
to denounce the so called geographical concepts of boundaries which break the human hearts and
yield unimaginable destitution and suffering. It raises some basic questions of humanism and
shows ways to bimukti (liberation) of the human soul from all conflicts and ignorance. Agunpakhi
is no simple woman, but a part of a greater human civilization where each individual is given
importance according to his or her own choice. Accordingly, there are no direct actions of violence
shown in the text because violence, as its own, has no power at all. The Indian concept of
humanism believes in non violence which is the best way to... Show more content on

focus of the novel. There is no complexity in the narration because the narration bears the smooth

What Are The Stereotypes In The Cosby Show
Through the positive portrayal of the Huxtable family, depicted as respected and wealthy middle
class folk, The Cosby Show challenged dominant cultures understanding of blackness. The family
sitcom managed to dispel old stereotypes of blacks, while providing a more respected and realistic
portrayal of typical black families. Bill Cosbys attempts to be educational while subtly addressing
issues such as black male stereotypes, discrimination, and other socially relevant topics. The show
was perceived differently by blacks and non blacks.

Except for some strategically placed symbols of blackness such as black magazines, black art and
HBCU black college sweaters, topics like race, culture, and the associations of both were
minimized on the show. Many believed that the shows attempts to provide an alternate depiction
of African Americans does not correctly reflect the typical Black family or life. The domestic
bliss of the Huxtable household is perceived by whites as the exception to the rule of black
family life, reaffirming the idea that racism would not be a problem if only blacks were more
like us () This concept, known as Enlightened racism , caused many black viewers to dislike the
show. They now faced a new form of racism, consisting of white audiences believing that racial
inequality in the United States is due to the inadequate aspirations of black peoples (). Many
believed blacks were no longer discriminated against in the schools, the job market, and the courts.
The show failed to discuss current issues in black society like white power and prejudice, unequal
educational and employment opportunities, and racism. The Cosby show seemed to live in a
fantasy world, unrealistically showing a family that did not face discrimination, racism, or unequal
opportunities in the 1950 s. However, Cosby insisted that the show never highlight racial conflict.

Ones perception on a book may or may not be changed once they see the movie produced that is
based off of a book. While reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest by Ken Kesey I was able to
visualize how I believed the characters would be in real life. Unlike the book, the movie is
presented the way in which the producer views the characters taking away ones sense of
imagination. A major difference between the book and the film is the point of view in which the
story was told. The book is told in Chief s point of view and the movie is not. I noticed during the

The scene in the book where the lifeguard at the pool who once was admitted to the ward tells
McMurphy that the nurses are the ones who decides how long one stays in the ward, and in the

Bromden are sent to the disturbed ward after getting into an altercation with the nurses when
McMurphy tried to stop them from forcing medication onto George in the shower who is
known to be extremely cautious of germs. Unlike the book the movie shows this scene as
McMurphy getting into a fight with the nurses after breaking the nurse s station window to get
Cheswick s cigarettes in order to calm him down. After Chief helps him, all three of them are
sent to the disturbed ward. Due to all of the changes in the movie compared to the book it was
hard to follow the movie at times. When certain scenes happened in the movie that didn t in the
book it confused me and when they brought in new characters or changed the way the characters
were portrayed made it difficult to relate the movie back to the book. I don t believe the film
changed my perception of McMurphy s Heroism because both in the book and film he played the
significant role of standing up to Nurse Ratched even though she was known to belittle all of the
patients. McMurphy continued to try and help the patients escape the ward before he thought about
himself leaving and that showed the type of character McMurphy was.

I began to watch the first episode of Gossip Girl, I have never watched the series before and after

about is that it is a fictional television show that explores the lives of people living amongst the
elites in society in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Throughout the show, there are various
characters and scenarios that discuss the problems of the characters, who are not elites and are
engulfed into a society that they are not welcomed in. In the first season, they introduce the
character of the teenagers who have grown up in extremely wealthy backgrounds, such as Blair
Waldorf, Nate Archibald, Chuck Bass, and Serena van der Woodsen. They were born with heritage
and attended the best Upper East Side s private school, Constance in New York City. But with
these teenagers who have a great status and life, there is the lower class of the characters in Gossip

band artist, who now owns an art gallery, they live in a loft in Brooklyn. They don t have a lot of
wealth, but they still have enough money to send Dan and Jenny to the same private school are

Fatal Virtue
Brecht views fatal virtue as something characters have that burdens the characters life. It also leads

Mother Courage being Katrin s mother knows her daughter s fatal virtue is compassion. She
warns her to return the child she saved from being discovered and killed by the soilders or she will

daughter s fatal virtue, which will later claim Katrins life. When Katrin is trying to communicate

Also whenever the audience feels sorry for a character or situation Brecht cut s in the scene

Brecht used epic theater so the audience would not empathize with Mother Courage because she

Almost unknown as a poet in her lifetime, Emily Dickinson is now considered as one of the most
mysterious and original American poet of 19th century for her innovation in rhythmic meters and
creative use of metaphors. Her poems were rarely published in Russia because most of them had
religious content (to express religious feelings was restricted in Russia for almost a century).
However, some poems that I read impressed me at the first glance. Dickinson s poems spoke
powerfully to me about meaningful events in living. Many impressions that she compressed into

her sister Livinia found nearly two thousand of drafts wrote in pencil on scraps of paper, grocery

Being a mystery novel and all that, I am going to go the mysterious route with my review for
The Foxglove Killings... Wouldn t want to give anything away, now would I?! So, short and
sweet and simple. I was a little hesitant to try this one for two reasons, even though I loved the
sound of it. One, Young Adult Mystery stories are very hit or miss with me. I don t mind
knowing early on the whodunit , but I at least want to be entertained, even after figuring things
out. Two, when I read the synopsis for this book, I wasn t sold, mainly due to said synopsis
being writing in first person, which simply confused me. It made the book appear much more
childish and predictable than it is. However, I thought I may as well give it a go, because I am
beginning to enjoy murder mystery thrillers more and more. However, The Foxglove Killings
nailed it. Tara Kelly is great at keeping up the tense atmosphere, creating a setting that is dark and
creepy. With very first scene in the book she starts building her story, and never once lets up. Not
only is there great atmosphere, there are seriously in depth and multi dimensional characterizations.
Those two things, settings and characters, are such important parts of the story for me, and Tara
Kelly knocked it out of the park. Firstly, this book got straight into the action, which I loved.
Sometimes it works when authors build up the story before the action starts trickling in, but other
times, it s nice to be plunged straight in the

Amazon Competitive Advantage
For Amazon to maintain a competitive advantage within the marketplace, Amazon has to focus on
remaining a convenient option for consumers. They need to infiltrate their customers digital
environment. I would suggest that Amazon focus on three things: Strategic Acquisitions and
Partnerships, Fulfillment Center Expansion, and Forward Vertical Integration.
Beyond the highly anticipated package delivery drones and the cashier free grocery stores of
Amazon, there are numerous business segments that help Amazon remain as one of the largest
online e commerce marketplaces. Amazon has set up an empire that has enabled it to continue with
highly lucrative strategies and business opportunities that continually push it forward. Amazon is at
the beginning of an investment cycle, one of Morgan Stanley s financial analysts remarked and also
stated unclear how long this cycle is expected to last.
One of the biggest questions that frequents Amazon is how can Amazon make sure that the growth
potential remains in line with the founding principles and objectives? A few of the more important

John Kerry s Arab-Israeli Conflict
John Kerry is the current U.S. Secretary of State under President Barack Obama. He has made
many contributions to the conflict in the Middle East more commonly known as the Arab Israeli
conflict. John Kerry generally supports the Palestinian side of the conflict. But at times he has
also expressed support for Israel, who is also a U.S. ally, although some would say that he must
pick one side to support. In December of 2015, Kerry has said many times that he believes a two
state resolution is the only route to resolve the ongoing conflict and would allow both groups to
control their own pieces of land that they can each call official countries for their ethnic groups. In
October of 2015, Kerry spoke on the subject of keeping Palestinian authority.... Show more content

The ceasefire did not call for Hamas to stop the firing of rockets into Israel, although he has
repeatedly expressed his disapproval of all extremism, including Hamas attacks on Israel. But in
December of 2014, he called for a two state solution, saying that it s the only path to peace for the
simple reason that there is no one state alternative .
In December of 2015, Kerry took a trip to Moscow, Russia, to discuss making progress towards
peace. His main goal was to narrow the differences between Russian President Vladimir Putin
over the role of Syrian President Bashar al Assad. Kerry applauded Russia s contributions to the
fight for peace. Kerry also asked for Russia s full participation in a February ceasefire in exchange
for relief of sanctions.
Israel has said that they disagree with Kerry s talks of peace in early 2015, saying the US will give

inconceivable that [John Kerry] would have drafted an initiative that... did not require the

The Scientific Systems Of Engineering Management
Introduction
Engineering Management refers to a specialized type of management which is primarily concerned
with the application of certain engineering principles to business activities or practice. In other
words, Engineering Management can be said to be a career which unites the technological problem
solving aspect of engineering and the administrative, planning, and organizational capabilities of
management to facilitate the efficient operation of activities within a sophisticated establishment
from the start to the end.
Primarily, Engineering Management focuses on the planning, installation, improvement, and design
of integrated systems of material, people, information, energy, and equipment. This is achieved
through utilization of specialized skills and knowledge in the physical sciences, social sciences, and
mathematical disciples. This knowledge and expertise are integrated into methods and principles of
engineering analysis and design (Haverila and Fehr 574). Through this incorporation, they can
evaluate, specify, and predict results that are likely to be obtained. The scientific systems in
engineering management are majorly responsible for designing, implementing, and developing
models to be used as the basis for evaluation and analysis of results. Comparative analysis is
achieved by taking into consideration the relationship that exists between engineering aspects and
the management duties such as organizing, planning, controlling, and leading. Moreover, these

The Problems Associated With Hegemonic Masculinity Essay
THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY IN SOCIETY
Introduction
The discourse of hegemonic masculinity was recently explored to understand the power of men in
society (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005). For centuries, men have taken a dominant gender role in
society. This has resulted in the oppression of women and the subordination of men who do not
confine to the masculine norms (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005). This essay explores the discourse
of hegemonic masculinity by explaining how it is reflected throughout society, and how it is
connected to femininity and other masculinities. The aim is to criticise hegemonic masculinity by
explaining the negative pressure it puts on both women and men.
Masculinity Hegemony
To understand the concrete basis of hegemonic masculinity more easily, the terms hegemonic and
masculinity will be deconstructed. Hegemonic represents what is dominant and most powerful in a
societal or political context (Merriman Webster, n.d.). Masculinity is a socially constructed term
that represents behaviour that is socially acceptable for men (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch,
2009). Therefore, hegemonic masculinity refers to a set of norms and practices that are deemed as
the dominant norm for men (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Although the term is tied
with men, hegemonic masculinity is not tied to the biological form of men. Alternatively, it is a
gendered performance which means that its associated

The National Honor Society is an excellent program, so I believe that becoming a member could
create a symbiotic relationship. Being a member of the National Honor Society could encourage my
academic achievement and give me opportunities to teach, which in turn will fine tune my
understanding on the subjectas well. I have multiple experiences with tutoring, as I am currently
tutoring three kids and used to tutoran international student in English. I believe firmly in
helping others through tutoring; I love teaching to instill curiosity and ambition in the minds of
others. Community service and tutoring are a win win outcome in my opinion since the student
starts to comprehend the subject that they are struggling in while the tutor builds mastery of the
subject, feels a sense of accomplishment, and genuinely feels better for doing the right thing. In
terms of character, I grew up with exceptionally supportive parents and an icon of a sister. My
parents want the best for me, so they don t hesitate to be strict in order to give me the character of
a fine young lady. I will always be indebted to my parents because they sacrificed so much for me.

The Flying Machine And Its Impact On The World
The flying machine has impacted the world in many ways. From the beginning pioneer ages of
flight, the Wright Brothers had created the Wright Glider and, later on, the Wright Flyer. Wilbur
and Orville Wright had tested the flying machine a biplane made from bike parts and cloth that
would help it be the first of it s kind to sustain stable flight patterns. Now in the modern day,
aircraft are made out of composite materials and have better mechanisms, like hydraulic systems,
for example. In the first stages of developing the Wright Flyer, different materials, machines, and
implemented devices were added as testing with the aeroplane went on. On December 17, 1903,
the brothers finally made four successful flights. (NASA, 3). The Wright brothers had finally gotten
the Wright Flyer, a hunk of wooden structure with cloth wings and a 12 horsepower engine using
bicycle parts, to make a few short but successful flights. On December 17th, 1903, the first flying
machine capable of sustained flight, the Wright Flyer, had first taken flight.... Show more content on

Among the places that seemed promising was Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, a small fishing

In The Time Of The Butterflies Courage Essay

enormous amounts of courage to challenge the corrupt government of the Dominican Republic
during the mid 1900 s. Trujillo is the tyrannical dictator, who with the help of his ruthless secret
police, rules the country with an iron grip. Not only did he terrorize and kill thousands of innocents,
he also personally brutalized and attacked young women against their will. Despite the horrors that
Trujillo put these people through, an underground rebellion was formed with the Mirabal sisters

courage but is unable to keep it for long. This also means that her courage is unpredictable, at
one point it may be strong, but then the slightest thing is enough to topple it. Later in the book

word to herself and understood exactly what it meant. (Alvarez, 441) Dede triumphantly thinks
this to herself after she contemplates letting go of her sanity, before the SIM destroyed all that
she loved. This is one of Dede s few moments where she sticks up for herself (even if she s only

Once the assessment has been done, whatever it is that needs to be done to help the students
improve should be incorporated into the lesson. This does not mean that everyone will be on the

student. If necessary as well, the teacher can separate students into small groups with each other
and create assessments this way as well. Assessments are reliable and, they can motivate students to

Last but the most important part is that ICT brings efficiency to governance and may also led to an
IT revolution in not only public services but also government. Automation makes massive work

contemporary government organizations. According to Dunleavy (2006,p.10), there are four main
causes:
пЃ¬ The importance of initially paper based and later electronic information systems in constituting
modern bureaucracies as a socio technical system;
пЃ¬The impact of IT on the organizational structure of machine bureaucracies especially;
пЃ¬The pervasive importance of IT for the contemporary tasks of government;

Jack Welch Paper
The analogy of a leader involves the head, the heart, and the feet, but according to Welch, there
are four essential traits of leadership, a female trait, and two critical questions. I would rightly
conclude that the seven characteristics of Jack Welch do not cover the bases and the analogy of a
leader. The seven characteristics of a leader that Jack Welch looks for in a leader emphasizes more
on one area than the others. There is more emphasis on the heart than the other areas. From the
ideology of the analogy, I discovered that Jack Welch`s characteristics have about 71 % of it
concentrated on the heart.
I disagree with how Jack Welch`s prioritized those characteristics because I personally think that
passion should be the first the seven characteristics because it is the force that empowers one to
take an initiative in a certain field. The second characteristic should be energy because before one

make frequent use of peer tutoring and peer assistance in my classroom. I do not do any of that in

more formal assessments is a must in my classroom. One example of a formal assessment that I
did this past year was teaching the second graders the song Rocky Mountain. Once the song was
memorized the students would come to the front of the room and sing Rocky Mountain for
everyone to hear and I would grade them on their singing ability; if all words were memorized,
sang each note on the correct pitch and if they sang in the correct key throughout. I found this to
be very helpful with their personalities and interests because I found out who really liked singing
and who did not really enjoy it. I also found out who was shy and who was more outgoing. This
helped me prepare some of lessons for the next few times and I knew who I could call on to sing
for everyone. Another strength that I have is helping students set individual learning goals. I
recently helped a student who usually has a hard time concentrating and staying on task create a

Military Strategy and Planning
Part 1 Military theory after World War II drastically changed for two major reasons: the dropping
of Atomic weapons on Japan and what would become known as the Cold War between the USSR
and the West. Foreign policy, which became military policy, starting in 1947 is known as the
Truman Doctrine. This began with U.S. support of Greece and Turkey with economic and military
aid to prevent those countries from falling under Soviet influence. The policy was written as a
response to the events that took place in the Eastern European Theater after World War II. The
Soviet Unioncoopted much of Eastern Europe, ½ of Germany, ½ of Berlin, and believed they
needed an even greater buffer zone to protect Russiafrom the West. Greece and Turkey were
logical extensions of this because both had been devastated during WWII and had strong
socialist parties. Truman believed that if Greece and Turkey did not receive the aid they needed,
they would inevitable fall to Soviet influence. The intended audience was wide: this was a clear
message to the Soviet Union; a message to Europe that the U.S. would not tolerate Soviet
aggression; a message to the people of Greece and Turkey that the U.S. would side with them; and
a message to Congress and the American people that the U.S. would put in a formal policy to
prevent the spread of worldwide communism. Post World War II events were top of mind for most
Americans; there was a fervent anti communism movement afoot in the United States, and a clear

The Rental Car Company Is Laying The Foundation For...
6 1 Data Model Assignment: DAT 500 15TW1 The rental car company is laying the foundation
for building a relational database and is already deep within the design phase of the SDLC.
Developing enterprise data models will ensure the business requirements are being met and in the
long run, spell success for the enterprise. The two entity relationship diagrams the rental car
company has established are 1) a Conceptual data model and 2) a Logical data model. Using the
process of building these foundational models, the rental car company can then move on to the
physical model and complete the database. The first data model, the conceptual model, is basically
the skeleton or the foundational framing for how the rental car company can develop the concepts
(also known as entities) that are most important to the organization. Within the conceptual model,
there are a limited number of components. In this current stage of the development there are only
entities and relationships, descriptive characteristics (or attributes) come later. Here the focus is on
entities and the organization can narrow down what takes top priority. Those four concepts
mentioned in the model are at the foundation and a requirement for tracking the profitability and
efficiency of the branch and its employees. Branch, Sales, Vehicle and Employees are prime
examples of entities and one can easily draw relationships and business rules between them.

The Epidemic Of Child Labour
You cannot escape the responsibilities of tomorrow by evading it today
Abraham Lincoln
The prevalence of child labour is a blot on society. It is a national disgrace that millions of
children in this country have to spend a major part of their daily routine in hazardous works. The
problem of child labour in India is the result of traditional attitudes, urbanisation, industrialisation,
migration, lack of education, etc. However, extreme poverty is the main cause of child labour.
However, this miracle idea falls short after identifying the brutal cons that develop along with Child
Labour. Youth are weak and can be susceptible to damage especially with the demanding jobs of a
factory. Simply stating, a child will wilt when put to work with hard tasks that occur in factories.
Just imagine how this effect to continue onto the descendants of this child. The business of Child
Labour where children must succumb to the control of atrocious lifestyles, which, with unstable
governments immerse a child in the hazardous struggle of unsafe workstations, poor wages, and an
immeasurable negative affect on its mind.
One argument used to corrobate the fact that Child Labour had a positive effect on the economy
was the immense change in salary costs from adults to children. The transference between adult
wages to children wages secured a high access rate for the factory and company owners. Children
were paid a wage to support their family. Without a father or mother bringing income,

Harriet Beecher Stoowe Thesis
I did not write it. God wrote it. I merely did his dictation, Harriet Beecher Stowe. The thing that
made Harriet Beecher Stowe really think about slavery and equality for every was that she lost a
child in infancy. This made her realize how the slaves felt when their children were sold to
separate slaveholders. I believe that Harriet Beecher Stowewas in the right to show how bad
slavery was in the south, and that she fought for their justice. First, who she was as a person.
Harriet Beecher Stowe was born on June 14, 1811 in Litchfield, Connecticut. She was born into a
prominent family, her father, Reverend Lyman Beecher, a Congregational minister and moral
reformer and her mom, Roxanna Foote Beecher. All of her brothers became ministers and her
sisters fought for women s rights. The Beecher family was expected to do something memorable
and shape their world. Harriet actually joined the school her sister Catharine was running, she
later was a teacher at this school. Second, what Harriet Beecher Stowe contributed to our world.
Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote for justice of the slaves. She published over 30 books, her best
seller was Uncle Tom s Cabin. Her books weren t just about slavery in the South, she had other

Myrtle Wilson And The Great Gatsby
On Thursday last week, two murders have taken place. Myrtle Wilson, wife to a small garage
owner, was hit and killed instantly by a speeding car two evenings ago. She had run out into the
middle of the street for unknown reasons when the death car hit her. The car was allegedly a
yellow or green color and was guessed to be traveling around 40 miles per hour when it hit
Myrtle. This car was coming from New York; it swerved a little but did not stop when passing
Wilson s garage in East Egg. Wilson himself could hardly gain composure after the accident. A
few witnesses had seen what happened and gave their testimonies to a local police officer. Bang,
was the sound the body and yellow car made when it made contact with the car, one witness said.
There were no known suspects or motives at the time.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wilson had supposedly found out that Jay Gatsby was the owner of the death car. Wilson found
his way to Gatsby s house around noon and saw Jay Gatsby relaxing in his pool. Wilson shot
Gatsby and then shot himself a little ways away in Gatsby s yard. Their bodies were discovered
about an hour later. Gatsby was quite wealthy and well known in Long Island, as he had
extravagant parties almost every Saturday night. Only one man, Nick Carraway, has come
forward to answer any questions about Gatsby. He has said a funeral will be held for Gatsby
sometime next week. Nick s last comment was that, Gatsby made an impact in my life and he
would ve done great things if his life wasn t taken so

Analysis Of The Movie The Night By F. Scott Fitzgerald
It was currently five in the morning and Connor was crying his little heart out. The air was filled
with his cries and with every shriek the air stirred about. He was being babysitted by one of his
good friends, Tyler, who had jumped awake as soon as he heard the high pitched wails of the
brunette. Troye was busy finalizing some things with Zoella, hence the reason why he wasn t
there to comfort his little boy. come on, Con.... your daddy will be here soon. Please don t cry
Tyler mumbled in a groggy voice, as he stumbled into the room and fumbled along the wall for the
light switch. Even with Tyler s promises and coddling Connor was still crying, so he decided to
walk into his kitchen and fetch one of Connorsbaby bottles and... Show more content on

This was the first time that Connor had regressed to an even lower age with Tyler, typically he was
around the age of five but by the looks of things Connor appeared to be around the age of two.
Now don t get the wrong idea, Connor would sometimes use his pacifier and bottle at that age
too but this time was different. It was the fact that Connor wasn t being as verbal that gave it
away. He was a chatty little boy, and would always tell you what was wrong, today that just wasn
t the case, and Tyler was just a little frightened. When Connors eyes shut completely and soft
snores were heard from him. Tyler picked him up again and brought him back to the guest room
that was practically Connor s now seeing how much he used it. He placed the man gently on the
bed, pulled the covers up his body and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. Tyler doubled checked
the room for any signs of danger, and plugged the night light that placed stars and planets around
the room. Tyler had gotten it a while ago, maybe the second or third time Connor had slept in his
apartment, it was a gift and he just loved how excited and happy the boy seemed. Walking out of
the room, Tyler shut the door behind him and went on a search for his phone so that he could call
Troye. After the third of fourth ring he had picked up. Hey Ty, is everything alright? Did Connor
come out of his headspace? Troye questioned, a

  • 2. Aortic Valve Replacement Aortic stenosis is the most common valvular heart disease of the developed world. About 7% of the population over age 65 suffer from degenerative aortic stenosis. The prognosis of patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis is known to be dismal without valve replacement. Even though American College of Cardiologyrecommends aortic valve replacement as a class I recommendation to treat symptomatic severe aortic stenosis, approximately a third of these patients over the age of 75 are still not referred for surgery. Typically, this is due to concern about prohibitive surgical risk due to patient frailty, co morbidities, age, and severe left ventricular dysfunction. The advent of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in Europe raised the hope for an alternative, less invasive treatment for aortic stenosis in the United States. We present a review of the existing and emerging literature pertaining to TAVR, including the PARTNER (Placement of AoRTic TraNscathetER Valve Trial Edwards SAPIEN Transcatheter Heart Valve) and CoreValve trials. Although surgical valve replacement (SAVR) remains the modality of choice for patients with severe aortic stenosis and low to intermediate operative risk for now, TAVR has certainly become the preferred approach for high risk patients, and it may gain traction for low and intermediate... • 3. The Beginning Of Foreign Aid Essay Introduction: 1.The beginning of Foreign Aid All human beings regardless of their background require a set of resources to survive. These are food, water, shelter and clothing in addition to this, healthcare, education and sanitation are also essential for a person s wellbeing. In 1949 Truman s Inaugural Address we must embark on a bold new program for making the benefits of our scientific advances and industrial progress available for the improvement and growth of underdeveloped areas raised awareness of the fundamental belief that countries that are far more developed should be assisting underdeveloped countries to improve their living standards. Aid is the giving of money, goods and advice by one country to another. The principle of giving and supporting others through foreign aid blossomed during the 1960 s, technological advances provided opportunities for televised reporting in the United States of inhumane situations in other underdeveloped countries. The idea of tackling poverty took hold and the UN and Bretton Woods Institutions (originally formed for post war reconstruction) became mechanisms for action on development. 2. Why should we help? After a reading a considerable amount, poverty has consistently been a vocal point of discussion when addressing critical humanitarian issues such as: famine, drought, crime, population management and much more. Gatsby wants to ensure that Nick is aware of the truthfulness of his background, so he won t have to make judgements based on the rumors that were spread during the parties. He conveys that once his family died, they left a great sum of money for him. With this money, Gatsby lived an opulent life in different parts of Europe amassing his time by committing to various activities such as collecting jewels, hunting, painting, and attempting to forget a disheartening moment in his past. Nick wants to laugh at Gatsby s story because it is very intricate and seems unreasonable in that there aren t big games to hunt nor chiefly rubies available in Europe. There is a great vitality of mystique surrounding Gatsby because of his false, yet interesting stories. Jordan and Nick are having a dinner, in which Jordan reveals the conversation that she had with Gatsby and the favor that he wants from Nick. Consider the effects the writer has created and how they contribute to the atmosphere. Arthur Conan Doyle s character, Sherlock Holmes, lived in Victorian London during the 19th century. His perception of the streets is portrayed as a dark and isolated environment. The atmosphere was far from welcoming. The streets were overrun with crime, beggars and prostitutes. Through the dense smog, the gas lamps provided feeble lighting which flickered as passer bys walked on their way. The odour which drifted through the air was vile. This was the result of no sewage system and low levels of hygiene. In... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A.C. Doyle reinforces its undesirable presence by describing it as vile . The reader will instantly see that it is a dirty, eerie place where no one would want to be. It is also personified as lurking which gives it a sense of hidden mystery. Holmes and Watson s journey is prolonged and tiresome as they travel through: the endless succession of sombre and deserted streets This description is effective because it makes the reader think of the continuous series of streets which have no definite end and lead to nowhere. The adjective sombre makes the reader think of a dull, dismal space containing emptiness. Everything Watson and Holmes pass along their way appears to be gloomy and depressing: another dull wilderness of bricks , ...a dull wrack. , star twinkled dimly Stars are expected to be bright, however here it is described in a contrasting manner. Although it is twinkling, it is still dim. The reader may imagine that these streets are so dismal not even the brightest star could appear as it is. As the reader is taken to the setting of the opium den, it feels as if they have been lead to an even more discomforting place. The steps lead: down to a black gap It is like being transported to a cold and sinister place. The reader is given the feeling of being taken down to hell. They are unaware of what lies beneath, ... The husband must love his wife as he loves himself and must not divorce his wife. Another thing that we learn from Paul is about the problems in marriage and divorce. Paul teaches about some of the most common marital problems. A big marital problem is sex and faithfulness. God tell us that our bodies belong to him, we must flee from sexual immorality and that anyone who sins sexually sins against their own bod because our bodies belong to our spouse. A husband must not go and seek sex outside the marriage nor go to the courts to force his wife to have sex with him. The wife must not deprive herself from her husband and causing Marriage, Divorce and Celibacy him to fall into temptation to seek sex outside the marriage. We learn about divorce in Matthew 5:32 which says But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives and must not separate from him and a husband should not divorce his wife. Paul taught us that marriage is hard and there will be many hard times but we must learn to get through it with God as our guidance. On the off chance that those don t work, then it s an ideal opportunity to enlist a jack of all trades or HVAC expert to repair or supplant the gadget.(Kompareit.com, 2016) Broken indoor regulator can bring about amazing temperature swings, a heater that cycles on and off too oftentimes or a heater that does not create heat. To see whether the indoor regulator is the issue, swing it to the inverse setting (in case you re utilizing the warmth, turn the indoor regulator the distance to cool) or simply turn the temperature far up. On the off chance that nothing happens following a couple of minutes, the indoor regulator is broken or defective. He was born in1939 in West Bengal and just after the completion of his school studies, his family had to leave India for East Bengal to avoid any insidious after effect of the partition. Atin Bandyapadhaya and Sunanda Sikdar both left East Bengalfor West Bengalbut Ajizul Haque was one, who left West Bengal for East Bengal. Ordinarily, the critics tend to take it as altogether a feminist novel, but an in depth study may bring out the truth that it is a tale of metamorphosis or a total transformation of a humanself into a metaphorical phoenix, born out of the fire of riot. It s a tale of a woman, who struggles within and ultimately is purified. She becomes bold and decisive to denounce the so called geographical concepts of boundaries which break the human hearts and yield unimaginable destitution and suffering. It raises some basic questions of humanism and shows ways to bimukti (liberation) of the human soul from all conflicts and ignorance. Agunpakhi is no simple woman, but a part of a greater human civilization where each individual is given importance according to his or her own choice. • 25. The Problems Associated With Hegemonic Masculinity Essay THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY IN SOCIETY Introduction The discourse of hegemonic masculinity was recently explored to understand the power of men in society (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005). For centuries, men have taken a dominant gender role in society. This has resulted in the oppression of women and the subordination of men who do not confine to the masculine norms (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005). This essay explores the discourse of hegemonic masculinity by explaining how it is reflected throughout society, and how it is connected to femininity and other masculinities. The aim is to criticise hegemonic masculinity by explaining the negative pressure it puts on both women and men. Masculinity Hegemony To understand the concrete basis of hegemonic masculinity more easily, the terms hegemonic and masculinity will be deconstructed. Hegemonic represents what is dominant and most powerful in a societal or political context (Merriman Webster, n.d.). Masculinity is a socially constructed term that represents behaviour that is socially acceptable for men (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Therefore, hegemonic masculinity refers to a set of norms and practices that are deemed as the dominant norm for men (Connell Messerschmidt, 2005; Lynch, 2009). Although the term is tied with men, hegemonic masculinity is not tied to the biological form of men. Alternatively, it is a gendered performance which means that its associated ... I would rightly conclude that the seven characteristics of Jack Welch do not cover the bases and the analogy of a leader. The seven characteristics of a leader that Jack Welch looks for in a leader emphasizes more on one area than the others. There is more emphasis on the heart than the other areas. From the ideology of the analogy, I discovered that Jack Welch`s characteristics have about 71 % of it concentrated on the heart. Once the song was memorized the students would come to the front of the room and sing Rocky Mountain for everyone to hear and I would grade them on their singing ability; if all words were memorized, sang each note on the correct pitch and if they sang in the correct key throughout. I found this to be very helpful with their personalities and interests because I found out who really liked singing and who did not really enjoy it. I also found out who was shy and who was more outgoing. This helped me prepare some of lessons for the next few times and I knew who I could call on to sing for everyone. • 36. Military Strategy and Planning Part 1 Military theory after World War II drastically changed for two major reasons: the dropping of Atomic weapons on Japan and what would become known as the Cold War between the USSR and the West. Foreign policy, which became military policy, starting in 1947 is known as the Truman Doctrine. This began with U.S. support of Greece and Turkey with economic and military aid to prevent those countries from falling under Soviet influence. The policy was written as a response to the events that took place in the Eastern European Theater after World War II. The Soviet Unioncoopted much of Eastern Europe, ½ of Germany, ½ of Berlin, and believed they needed an even greater buffer zone to protect Russiafrom the West. Greece and Turkey were logical extensions of this because both had been devastated during WWII and had strong socialist parties. Truman believed that if Greece and Turkey did not receive the aid they needed, they would inevitable fall to Soviet influence. The intended audience was wide: this was a clear message to the Soviet Union; a message to Europe that the U.S. would not tolerate Soviet aggression; a message to the people of Greece and Turkey that the U.S. would side with them; and a message to Congress and the American people that the U.S. would put in a formal policy to prevent the spread of worldwide communism. Developing enterprise data models will ensure the business requirements are being met and in the long run, spell success for the enterprise. The two entity relationship diagrams the rental car company has established are 1) a Conceptual data model and 2) a Logical data model. Using the process of building these foundational models, the rental car company can then move on to the physical model and complete the database. The first data model, the conceptual model, is basically the skeleton or the foundational framing for how the rental car company can develop the concepts (also known as entities) that are most important to the organization. Within the conceptual model, there are a limited number of components. In this current stage of the development there are only entities and relationships, descriptive characteristics (or attributes) come later. Here the focus is on entities and the organization can narrow down what takes top priority. Those four concepts mentioned in the model are at the foundation and a requirement for tracking the profitability and efficiency of the branch and its employees. It is a national disgrace that millions of children in this country have to spend a major part of their daily routine in hazardous works. The problem of child labour in India is the result of traditional attitudes, urbanisation, industrialisation, migration, lack of education, etc. However, extreme poverty is the main cause of child labour. However, this miracle idea falls short after identifying the brutal cons that develop along with Child Labour. Youth are weak and can be susceptible to damage especially with the demanding jobs of a factory. Simply stating, a child will wilt when put to work with hard tasks that occur in factories. Just imagine how this effect to continue onto the descendants of this child. The business of Child Labour where children must succumb to the control of atrocious lifestyles, which, with unstable governments immerse a child in the hazardous struggle of unsafe workstations, poor wages, and an immeasurable negative affect on its mind. One argument used to corrobate the fact that Child Labour had a positive effect on the economy was the immense change in salary costs from adults to children. The transference between adult wages to children wages secured a high access rate for the factory and company owners. Children were paid a wage to support their family. The thing that made Harriet Beecher Stowe really think about slavery and equality for every was that she lost a child in infancy. This made her realize how the slaves felt when their children were sold to separate slaveholders. I believe that Harriet Beecher Stowewas in the right to show how bad slavery was in the south, and that she fought for their justice. First, who she was as a person. Harriet Beecher Stowe was born on June 14, 1811 in Litchfield, Connecticut. She was born into a prominent family, her father, Reverend Lyman Beecher, a Congregational minister and moral reformer and her mom, Roxanna Foote Beecher. All of her brothers became ministers and her sisters fought for women s rights. The Beecher family was expected to do something memorable and shape their world. Harriet actually joined the school her sister Catharine was running, she later was a teacher at this school. Second, what Harriet Beecher Stowe contributed to our world. Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote for justice of the slaves. She published over 30 books, her best seller was Uncle Tom s Cabin.
