Group of 10 ten thousands = 100 000
Group of 10 ten millions = 100 millions
= 100 000 000

• Group of 10 blocks = 1 ten

• How many tens and ones are in 26?

and write it as

9. Look at these coins. The numbers on
each coin shows its value.

10. Let’s write 241 according to the
“PLACE VALUE”
of its digits.
241 = 2 hundreds + 4 tens + 1 ones
= 200 + 41 + 1
In words , we read and write it as
“Two Hundred and Forty One”.
