REGULAR PLANE FIGURES = 2D SHAPES
3D SHAPES
3D SHAPE characteristics
These shapes are solid.
They have three dimensions (height, width and length).
You can find 3D shapes all around in real life!

PRISM
A prism has got two equal bases. They are regular
polygons.
The faces are parallelograms.
PYRAMID
A pyramid has got one base. This is a regular polygon.
The faces are flat triangles. They meet in a common
vertex.
Types of Prisms and Pyramids
The name of the prims and pyramids depends on the
base's shape:
THE POLYHEDRONS
A polyhedron have got all the faces the same. They are
regular polygons
CURVED 3D SHAPES
They have curved surfaces.
3D Shapes Nets
If you fold and glue a net, you build a 3D Shape.
