MasterCAN devices provide vehicle data interfacing for fleet monitoring and management. They receive operational data from vehicle CAN and J1708 buses, arrange it into easy-to-read messages, and transmit it through CAN, RS-232, or RS-485 outputs. The devices simplify data access for terminals by filtering unnecessary information and directly integrating multiple vehicle buses. Models are available to suit different vehicle types and output interface needs.

6. Contents of MasterCAN Output Messages

 MasterCAN models with CAN output interface
transmit FMS messages without changing them,
and also form Telematics messages that include the
most important vehicle operation parameters.
 MasterCAN models with RS-232 and RS-485
output interfaces either transmit vehicle operation
parameters at request from a terminal (Modbus
protocol) or do this in an automated mode in text
format (ASCII protocol).

13. Data Reception from CAN Bus Using
MasterCAN C 232/485
 MasterCAN C 232/485 can be connected to CAN bus either using CANCrocodile contactless
reader (recommended), or by direct contact.
 In RS-232 and RS-485, text messages based on ASCII protocol are sent at a one second
interval or messages based on Modbus protocol are sent in the request-response mode.
 A telematics tracking device with RS-232 or RS-485 input interfaces may be used to receive
data.

14. Summation of Data from Several
DUT-E CAN Fuel Level Sensors
MasterCAN C 232/485 and MasterCAN V-GATE can be used for summation of data on the fuel
volume in several tanks. They support up to 8 tanks with DUT-E CAN fuel level sensors. The
information about the amount of fuel is transmitted to the terminal using RS-232 and RS-485
interfaces (DUT-E COM interface).
