This document discusses different types of market research methods and survey design. It describes primary research as first-hand data collection through interviews, surveys, questionnaires, and focus groups. Secondary research analyzes previously published data. Questionnaires are used to collect comparable data, minimize bias, and extract specific information. Questions can be dichotomous, use a Likert scale, semantic differential, cumulative/Guttman scale, or be filter/contingency questions.
