This document summarizes a case study of Marist College's implementation of open-source portfolios (OSP) in their School of Education program. It describes the multi-year pilot process, beginning with a free-form implementation using Word documents and evolving to the current use of a template provided by ThreeCanoes. The implementation has addressed focusing students on reflection over design, providing flexibility while requiring certain pages, and plans to further enhance navigation and integration of assessment tools. Lessons learned include the importance of communication, internal definitions, and storyboarding in the design process.
