RE: Marieshka Barton, Letter of Recommendation
To whom it may concern:
I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Marieshka Barton.
Ms. Barton has been one of our exemplary employee who excelled in any job that we assigned
her. She is very extremely hard-working, dedicated, creative, and passionate about anything that
she does. She bubbles with enthusiasm, works well with people and can impress any group-
small or large and can sell a concept or product – anytime, anywhere.
She created and launched the Shone Farm Wine Club, growing it from scratch to more than 100
members, and she increased our local retail presence from two accounts to 12 within six months.
In order to accomplish this success, Ms. Barton exhibited impressive skills in a range of key
tasks: developing marketing materials, coordinating events, and building rapport with local
retailers to garner their support of Shone Farm Wine. She helped organize the Shone Farm booth
at the Community College President’s conference last November held in San Francisco and did a
superb job in making it the best display at the event and one that was appreciated by everyone
and was judged the best booth in the event.
A unique characteristic of Shone Farm Winery is our affiliation with Santa Rosa Junior College,
which adds an extra layer of complexity to developing promotional materials. Ms. Barton
successfully navigated various levels of bureaucracy to shepherd documents from concept
through production by working closely with SRJC staff and contractors.
An additional challenge is that Shone Farm Winery doesn’t maintain a regular tasting room,
which impinges on some of the standard means of connecting with customers. Ms. Barton
overcame these obstacles with creative problem solving, enthusiasm, and good old-fashioned
hard work.
Ms. Barton’s development of structures and processes for building the wine club and retail sales
has set in motion a new era of commerce for our wine club, and her success in increasing our
program revenues by 50% will be invaluable as we continue to build our program.
She is an asset to any organization and I am sure she will be able to find a position that meets her
career goals.
