Lisa Wong joined the cafe staff as a full time barista at Dandelion Chocolate in March 2014. I was her
manager for the entirety of her employment and can say that she will truly be irreplaceable.
Lisa immediately contributed at a high performance level for a barista and got along very well with the
entire staff. The Dandelion cafe was in a transition phase that required the input and hard work of our entire
group. Lisa was a great fit from the beginning by showing that she was dedicated to the success of Dandelion and
learning more about her craft. Many of her recommendations and methods are used for training purposes
currently on bar. She was elemental in being able to create a positive training environment for our employees.
As Lisa’s obvious talent as a barista grew with our goals, she began to show her investment in our retail
chain and customer facing interactions. Lisa worked closely one on one with our Products Manager to help
maintain the look and presentation of our brand. There are also members of our Production Team that know Lisa
well because she will use her own time to help them on the floor.
We engage with our guests with a focus on education that Lisa wholly absorbed. She contributed in ways
that are very inherent to professional and cultural growth. She is a great logistical thinker, highly organized, and
honest employee. It isn’t a wonder that every department in Dandelion was very happy to have her contribute.
Lisa’s talents extend past being a great barista. She is a caring and genuine friend, multi task oriented,
and very focused; all of which were utilized in her role at Dandelion Chocolate. Her energy and care will be
missed. She is someone who I would hire again without question and any cafe would benefit from her presence.
