you may be considering Ms. Exline Starr for a position. Without question I can
wholeheartedly offer a positive recommendation for Ann.
I met Ann in the fall of 2005 through her efforts to help with the devastation caused by
Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Louisiana. From our conversations I discovered that she
wanted to make a difference so she took it upon herself to do what needed to be done.
Early in the response there was a desperate need for basic supplies. She used her
significant skills and network to solicit donations for hurricane response. Through Ann’s
effort a warehouse/distribution center was established in Thibodaux, LA.
There are several skills and talents that Ms. Exline Starr demonstrated that would be
important in any role. She is a self-starter, able to identify the issues at hand and work
towards their resolution. She was able to identify and successfully approach potential
sources of relief items. She functioned as a part of a team. She has a great compassion
for people and passion for making a difference. She was willing to invest the time and
energy necessary to get the job done correctly. She was willing to admit when it was
necessary to enlist the help of others with specific skills to further the cause.
I enjoyed my association with Ann and if the situation presented itself I would welcome
