This document discusses how geo-coding, mobile technologies, and real-time data can enhance monitoring and evaluation of development projects. It provides examples of how mapping development projects and activities using these technologies can increase transparency, accountability, and results-orientation. Specific examples discussed include mapping poverty levels and aid projects in countries, tracking progress of infrastructure projects using GPS, and allowing beneficiary feedback on projects through mobile phones and interactive maps.
