3. Introduction:-
Attendance is very important for every organizations, Attendance taking
has evolved with better solutions from the time it was invented, from paper
based to Computer based System using so many new technologies that can
make it better faster and accurate.This is an android mobile app. Its built to
be used for school/college faculty so that they may take student attendance
on their phones. This system has a single entity namely, Teacher. Teacher
can login using credentials. they can view the assigned course. Teacher
need to select course for taking attendance. After selecting course teacher
will get two sub category show attendance and take attendance.
Attendance of students based on dates will be listed in show attendance,
and in take attendance teacher will let the list of students where she/he has
to mark and submit the attendance.

To developed and design the android-based mobile attendance application for the
management of attendance records in the educational organization. To implement
the new technology development system to make it digitalized ,autherized,secured
one in the given web server to kept it records as many years we want to kept it for
its future use as per our need.

college, or universities for taking down
attendance.

meeting to show parents about their
children's attendance performance.

1.Admin: (Web Application)
Login: Need to enter login credentials into web interface by the
admin or the authorized person.
Add/View Course: Can add a new course into the system and also
can view it.
Add/View Subject: Can add a new subject to the equivalent course
into the system and also can view it.
Add/View Student: Can register new student details into the
system and also can view it.
Attandance Report: System allows admin to generate student
defaulter list.

Login: Teacher can login using credentials.
Home: list of Courses assigned to the teacher.
Show Attendance: Attendance of students based on dates
Take Attendance: Student names list and teacher will mark attendance
and submit attendance
3.Student: (Android)
Login: Here, both Parent as well as student can login using the student
roll no. or with an email id.
View Attendance: Here, student itself can view the attendance.

7. Proposed Student Attendance
System
1) System Tools:
Android Studio has been used as a development
environment. Java, PHP and HTML have been used as
programming and scripting languages. While, MySQL
has been used as a Database management system.
2) System Database:-
Database of the proposed system consists of five tables:
users, students, courses, departments and attendance
logs.

3) System Users:
login There are three types of system users: Administrator,
Reporter and Instructor. Any user who wants to use
theattendance system must get user name and password
which admin grants it.Attendance system consist from three
parts, first part is admin session, who can login to system and
edit on all database tables. The second part is instructor
session, who login to system for marking attendance and
third part is reporter session, that also to system to show
attendance and report all these tasks.

12. Advantages:
1.It excludes the use of paper work and human efforts.
2.The system is helpful as it generates a systematic overall
report of every class attendance.
3.It maintains the records in a large database instead of
conventional method of maintaining register.
4.It saves user time, cost and institute resources.
Disadvantages:
The only disadvantage is that every teacher requires android
phone to access the system.There should also be a Wi-Fi or
internet connection available in every class.

13. Conclusion
This whole work is to access the details about the student
attendance information and generate a final reports. This
project “Mobile Based Student Attendance Management
System” is a collection of static and dynamic web based
or mobile application based pages. This project provides
an offer to the user to enter the data through their
respective registration forms. It is very helpful for the
teachers and admin to keep and maintain the information
about the students easily.

14. Future scope
The system can be further enhanced and several other
functionalities can be added. The system can be made
login independent. The present system logs in using
Internet all the time. We can enhance the system by
implementing offline mode login feature.The system
can also be enhanced by using voice recognition feature
of the Android. In future this work can be expanded to
store the internal marks, semester marks, college events
and college placements.
