Attendance Management System is
an developed for daily student attendance
in schools, colleges and institutes. If
facilitates to access the attendance
information of a particular student in a
particular class. The information is sorted
by the operators, which will be provided
by the teacher for a particular class. This
system will also help in evaluating
attendance eligibility criteria of a student.
Now-a-days smart phones are running with
an operating. By developing this app in
platform, it will be very beneficial to all.
Minimum supporting version for this app
is 3.0. We have developed this app in 3.0.4
version. So this can be installed in any
higher versions. To support the fully
configured features of this app. we are
used Sqlite database system to store the
regular attendance of student are faculty.
Sqlite is database technology to store
information and retrieve the data from
application resources. It’s light weight to
maintain small amount of data in the
application. In these app consist of 2 main
activity daily attendance and attendance
report. in daily attendance the attendance
can be taken by the administrator which
can be store in the sqlite db then. Daily
attendance Activity consist of various
fields that’s year wise attendance and in
daily manner according to date. It can be
retrieved by the administrator in report
activity.
In the Existing system all work is
done on paper. The whole session
attendance is stored in register and at the
end of the session the reports are
generated. The existing system is not user
friendly because the retrieval of data is
very slow and data is not maintained
efficiently. We require more calculations
to generate the report so it is generated at
the end of the session. And the student not
get a single chance to improve their
attendance. All calculations to generate
report is done manually so there is greater
chance of errors. Existing system requires
lot of paper work. Loss of even a single
register/record led to difficult situation
because all the papers are needed to
generate the reports. And time consuming
process.
The purpose of developing
attendance management system is to
computerized the tradition way of taking
attendance. Another purpose for
developing this software is to generate the
report automatically at the end of the
session or in the between of the session.
Proposed is User Friendly, Reports, Very
less paper work, Computer operator
control and Time efficient, Sqlite for
attendance management system student.
