WHAT IS MANAGEMENT
 Management is an art of getting things done

purpose of accomplishing a goal.
WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY
 Physiotherapy is a clinical health science and
profession that aims to rehabilitate and improve
people with movement disorders by using
evidence-based, natural methods such as
exercise, motivation, adapted equipment,
education and advice
REHABILITATION
 Primary objective of rehabilitation involves
restoration(to maximum degree possible) either
of function (physical or mental) or of
role(within the family, social network or
workforce)
 Rehabilitation will usually require a mixture of
clinical,therapeutic and social intervention that
also address issues relevant to a person physical
and social environment.
REHABILLITATION….
 The process of rehabilitation has been describe
as continuous and multifactorial…which is
dependent on multiple input
(Squires, 1994)
 And a mixture of clinical, therapeutic and social
intervention.
(King's Fund, 1998)
 The way in which these inputs are linked,
through those concerned with the patient’s
management and support working closely
together and sharing knowledge and skills, is
essential for rehabilitation to be effective, efficient
and acceptable to the patient.
(Margaret B. Hastings)
