The document provides information about the female reproductive system. It discusses the external female genitalia (vulva) and internal organs including the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. It describes the structure, function, blood supply, and hormones involved in each part. It also explains menstruation and the four phases of the menstrual cycle.
The female reproductive system comprises primary sex organs like the ovaries and accessory sex organs like the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and vagina. The ovaries produce eggs and female sex hormones, while the accessory organs support reproduction. The uterus has three layers and is divided into the body and cervix. It is located between the bladder and rectum. The vagina is lined with mucous membrane and connects the cervix to the outside. The ovaries contain follicles that produce eggs and hormones to regulate the menstrual cycle.
The kidneys are located in the back of the abdomen and are bean-shaped organs that filter waste from the blood to produce urine. The kidneys regulate blood volume, pressure, pH, and electrolyte levels. They remove waste and toxins from the body. The kidneys receive blood through the renal artery and filter it through nephrons to remove waste, which is collected by minor and major calyces and exits through the ureters as urine.

The menstrual cycle occurs approximately every 28 days in human females from puberty to menopause. It involves several phases: the menstrual phase where the uterine lining is shed; the proliferative phase where the ovaries develop follicles and estrogen levels rise; ovulation on day 14 where an egg is released; and the luteal or secretory phase where progesterone levels rise to prepare the uterus for potential pregnancy if fertilization occurs. The cycle is regulated by hormones from the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and ovaries. Proper understanding of the cycle allows couples to plan intercourse for maximizing chances of fertilization and pregnancy.
The Male and Female Reproductive System and it's functionsERICJOHNMERIALES
The male reproductive system produces and transports sperm and reproductive hormones. It includes internal organs like the testes which produce sperm and testosterone, and external organs like the penis and scrotum. The female reproductive system produces eggs and reproductive hormones and can carry offspring to term. It includes internal organs like the ovaries which produce eggs and the uterus which houses the developing fetus, and external organs like the labia and clitoris. Both systems work together through sexual intercourse and conception to reproduce new individuals through asexual and sexual reproduction.

It includes internal organs like the ovaries which produce eggs and the uterus which houses the developing fetus, and external organs like the labia and clitoris. Both systems work together through sexual intercourse and conception to reproduce new individuals through asexual and sexual reproduction.
The male reproductive system includes internal structures in the abdomen and pelvis and external structures. The testes produce sperm and are held in the scrotum outside of the body. Sperm travel from the testes through the epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, and prostate gland before being ejaculated through the urethra in the penis. During ejaculation, muscles contract and glands secrete fluids to form semen, which carries sperm from the male body. The penis is the external organ of copulation and urination in males.
The ovaries are almond-shaped glands located on either side of the pelvis that contain follicles and the corpus luteum. The follicles secrete estrogen and the corpus luteum secretes progesterone and some estrogen. Estrogen is the primary female sex hormone and exists in three types - estradiol, estrone, and estriol. Estrogen acts on genes and is synthesized from cholesterol in the ovaries, promoting the development of female secondary sex characteristics and regulating the reproductive cycle through a feedback loop with hormones from the hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
The document provides information about the human reproductive system. It describes:
1) The organs that make up the male and female reproductive systems, including their functions in reproduction and producing sex cells.
2) The process of fertilization, where the male sperm and female egg unite and the resulting cell receives genetic material from both parents.
3) The structures of the male reproductive system such as the penis, testes, and other internal organs involved in sperm production and ejaculation.
4) The structures of the female reproductive system such as the ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes and breasts, and their roles in egg production, pregnancy, and lactation.
5) The menstrual cycle and

The respiratory system allows for oxygen intake and carbon dioxide removal. It consists of the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs and muscles. The nose and mouth allow air intake and filter it. The pharynx and larynx direct air to the proper passages. The trachea and bronchi form the conducting airways to the lungs. In the lungs, gas exchange occurs between the air in alveoli and blood in capillaries, transferring oxygen to blood and carbon dioxide out of blood.
Digestion is the breakdown of large insoluble food molecules into small water-soluble food molecules so that they can be absorbed into the watery blood plasma. In certain organisms, these smaller substances are absorbed through the small intestine into the blood stream.
The male reproductive system includes internal structures like the testes, epididymis, ductus deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis. The testes are held in the scrotum and produce sperm. Sperm travel through the epididymis, ductus deferens, and ejaculatory duct before mixing with fluids from the seminal vesicles and prostate to form semen, which is ejaculated through the urethra in the penis during orgasm. Blood flows into the structures via internal iliac arteries and drains via internal iliac veins. Lymphatic drainage is to internal and external iliac lymph nodes.
The document provides an overview of the male and female reproductive systems. It describes the key external and internal organs of each system, including their structure, functions, and roles in reproduction. The female system includes the vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and breasts. The male system includes the scrotum, testes, seminal vesicles, ejaculatory ducts, prostate gland, and penis. Both systems work together through processes like fertilization, gestation and childbirth to enable sexual reproduction and the development of offspring.
The male reproductive system functions to produce, store, nourish, and transport gametes and facilitate fertilization. It includes the testes, ducts, accessory glands, and external genitalia. The testes produce sperm through spermatogenesis in the seminiferous tubules. Mature sperm are stored and mature in the epididymis before passing through the vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and urethra to be ejaculated. Hormones regulate sperm production and male sexual characteristics. Common diseases include hydrocele, benign prostatic hypertrophy, prostate cancer, and erectile dysfunction.
The menstrual cycle involves four main phases:
1) Menstruation - the shedding of the uterine lining over 3-7 days.
2) The follicular phase - development of follicles and eggs stimulated by FSH until ovulation around day 14.
3) Ovulation - release of a mature egg around day 14.
4) The luteal phase - the corpus luteum forms and secretes progesterone and estrogen to thicken the uterine lining to prepare for potential implantation until menstruation begins again if implantation does not occur.
The urethra is a passageway located in your body's pelvic region. The walls of the tube are thin and made up of epithelial tissue, smooth muscle cells and connective tissue. The urethra has two different types of sphincters, or muscles that act as valves that open or close
The menstrual cycle typically lasts 28 days and involves changes in the female reproductive system. It begins with menstruation, followed by the proliferative phase where the endometrium thickens in response to rising estrogen levels. Around day 14, LH and FSH cause ovulation to occur. After ovulation, the secretory phase begins where progesterone levels rise, preparing the endometrium in case of fertilization. If no fertilization occurs, progesterone and estrogen levels fall, causing menstruation to start again.

The ureters are thin-walled muscular tubes that convey urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder. They have three parts: the pelvic, abdominal, and pelvic parts. The ureters begin in the renal pelvis in the kidneys and travel downwards and medially through the abdomen and pelvis before piercing the bladder wall and opening into the bladder trigone. Their course and relations are described.

The female reproductive system has external and internal organs that work together for reproduction. The external organs include the vulva, which contains the labia, clitoris, and vaginal opening. The internal organs include the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and cervix. During ovulation, an egg travels from the ovaries to the uterus through the fallopian tubes. If fertilized by sperm, it may implant in the uterus. The placenta then develops to nourish an embryo. Hormones regulate the menstrual cycle of the uterine lining shedding if no implantation occurs.

This document contains summaries of student seminar presentations on the anatomy and physiology of the stomach. Kajal's presentation describes the four parts of the stomach - the cardiac region, fundus, body, and pyloric region. Ritaj Katiyar's presentation covers the five main functions of the stomach - storage, formation of chyme, digestion, protection, and excretion. Gayyur's presentation discusses the three types of gastric glands - fundic glands, pyloric glands, and cardiac glands - and the cells that compose each gland type.
The process of voiding urine, known as micturition, involves the urinary bladder filling with urine and then emptying through contraction of the detrusor muscle and relaxation of the internal and external urethral sphincters. This is mediated by a micturition reflex initiated by stretch receptors in the bladder wall and regulated by spinal and brain centers. Voluntary control of micturition is achieved through inhibition or facilitation of the reflex by higher brain centers.

The document discusses urinary diversion procedures which surgically reroute urine flow out of the body when the normal flow is blocked, including temporary procedures like urinary catheterization and nephrostomy tubes which drain urine until the blockage is treated, as well as permanent diversions that require creating a stoma or internal reservoir to reroute urine to an external pouch. It also provides instructions for caring for urinary diversions by checking the dressing, skin, and urine color and flow through the tubing.

(Tunica vasculosa ) :-
(Vas deferenses)
(Endocrine
(Convoluted

(Seminiferous tubules)
(Head)
(Neck)
(Tail)
22.
(Mitochondria)
(Sexually transmitted diseases)
28. (Vas deferens or Ductus deferens)
(Ejaculatory
(Lingual canal)
(Seminal Fluid)
(Seminal fluid)
(Mucosal
(Sub mucosal glands)
39.
(Penile)
(Glans penis)
(Corpus
(Glans penis)
(Venous sinusoids)
(Nerve endings)
(Penile nerve
(Circumcission)
(Perineal membrane)
(Membranous portion)
(Penile
