The Small Business Development Center's Startup Weekend: Maker Edition at Lansing Community College focused on developing a product and launching a business over a 54-hour event, allowing participants to learn about teamwork, lean startup principles, and modern manufacturing techniques. The event featured diverse participants, including LCC students and professionals, who developed four new product prototypes and continued work on their ideas post-event. Notably, one team received licensing inquiries for their air-powered extruder prototype, which utilizes a corn starch mixture for 3D printing.
