quoted Ernest Hemmingway saying, The first draft of anything is shit. This changed the way I
approached and wrote papers. I used to start papers the night before, barely look over them and

The character Judas Iscariot, betrayer of Jesus, is often portrayed in a negative way according to
many but when looking through the three films, The King of Kings, King of Kings, and Jesus
Christ Superstar, he is considerably misunderstood as to what his real desires are.
Although the four gospels tell similar stories, Judas is portrayed mostly similar but slightly
different to each person. Between the four gospels Matthew and Mark represent Judas to be very
similar way and the same for the gospels of Luke and John.
Mark wrote his gospel from a Gentile, Pauline Christian view and he did not portray them in a

In this film Judas is played by an African American, which is uncommon, depicts Judas as loving
Jesus until the end. Many people questioned why judas race was represented by his villainy and
caused much controversy. The film of Jesus Christ Superstar is completely told by Judas
perspective and was main part of the movie. Throughout the movie he didn t seem to be evil or
have the predisposition to betray Jesus, he showed caring feelings and wanted what he thought
was best for Jesus. Something that I thought was interesting was after he betrayed Jesus he
realize what he had done and went to the high priest and begged for his money back and them to
stop. He couldn t believe what he had done and hanged himself. Judas caused Jesus anger much
throughout the movie, He seemed to enjoy the attention and did not like him trying to tell him to
stop and shy away from the crowd so he begins to ignore him. When Judas sees that he himself
has lost control as well, he realizes his mistake and the terrible, mysterious love that Jesus had for
him. Judas echoes Mary s song, and goes on to see that his friend knew all along what would
happen. In the end of the movie Judas committed suicide but his questions were never answered. He
still remained angry with Jesus (and God) and continually asks him not to think wrong of him. He
