This document provides an abstract and agenda for a workshop on machine learning meeting human learning. The workshop aims to bring together researchers studying machine learning, cognitive science, neuroscience, and educational science. The goal is to investigate how advanced machine learning theories and algorithms can serve as computational models of human learning behaviors. The workshop also seeks to explore insights from the cognitive study of human learning that could inspire new machine learning theories and algorithms. The agenda includes talks on topics like training deep neural networks, probabilistic models of cognition, reinforcement learning, and human semi-supervised learning.
