tamsKelvin William Thomson, also known as Lord Kelvin, was a Scottish mathematician and physicist born in 1824 in Belfast, Ireland. He made contributions to many areas of physics including calculating the age of the Earth based on its cooling rate and developing the Kelvin temperature scale in 1847 which uses absolute temperature measurements. He had a successful career as an electric telegraph engineer and inventor.

Classification Of Elements
