Our film portrays young, white male football fans as violent hooligans through footage of them engaging in fights, carrying weapons, and letting off flares. While it shows the negative aspects of their behavior, it also conveys their sense of friendship and pride in their clubs. We would target our audience of males ages mid-teens to early 40s interested in football or gang culture primarily in England. The British film company Vertigo would be suited to distribute our film given their experience with similar gritty British football films like The Football Factory and The Firm. We would promote the film at football grounds, pubs, on buses and radio to appeal directly to our target audience.

- 2. Films usually have a variety of different film posters. The main reason for this is to attract a number of different type of audiences. In this presentation I will be looking into three film posters from the film ‘Looking For Eric’.
- 3. Poster #1 • This poster seems to be aimed more at the football fans/hooligans as there is a trumpet and a group of men at the bottom. • The group of men seem to be the typical “footy lads” that go to every match. • This could appeal to men as they might feel it to be appropriate to go with all of ‘the lads’ to watch the film.
- 4. Poster #2 • This poster seems to be aimed at the average football fan. • I think this due to the inclusion of the Manchester United t- shirt. • Football fans will see this and will be able to immediately relate to the character. • Football fans will also be attracted to this poster as they seem to be training, just like footballers would for a match.
- 5. Poster #3 • I think this poster hasn’t got a specific audience as it seems to have a more general layout and pictures. • The inclusion of a woman suggests love interest which may appeal to women as well as men. • Women may be intrigued to see if any romance occurs which could mean they go and watch the film. • The flowers also suggest romance and love.
