Learning Editing Skills from Preliminary to Final Project
1. Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it
to the full product?

2. Looking back at my preliminary task I feel like my editing skills have
improved loads because before I only use to know how to the basics
like adding the clips onto Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and I knew how to
cut clips.
3. Now I know how to add sound, I know how to turn up the diegetic
sound and turn down the non-diegetic for the same clip to make the
scene look more realistic. I worked on my own for the preliminary task
and worked in a group of 3 for my final product so it made it easier
when I was in a 3 instead of on my own so I can’t really comment on
my progression but I feel like when I did work on my own it was harder
because I had to make decisions on my own as well as filming and
editing by myself.
4. Whereas when I was in a group we all contributed our ideas together
to get the best one and all took it in turn to film our own bits as we had
our own sections. We also edited all together and made sure everyone
was okay with the changes. I feel like my knowledge has grown and I
know a lot more facts within filming techniques and know what shots
look best with each shot.
