1. Artist Logo
I have chosen the third logo design because it features an LGBTQ+ flag which highlights the
artists pride, an emotion she addresses in all her songs. The simplicity of the third design
means that it will be easier to produce merchandise, such as badges and keyrings, than the
other 2 more detailed designs. Instead of the back to back ‘R’ letter drawn in design three, I
will illustrate the logo with the reflected letters above, joined together with no spaces. This
creates an illusion of two silhouettes; one with their arms up in the air joined above their
head, and another with their arms down. I will incorporate this idea into my website, and
photoshop two images of the artist together to recreate this illusion. The logo will also
anchor the theme of the website; a black and white colour scheme with any rainbow or
pride merchandise in full colour.
2. Video Production Logo
For the production company I chose the first design. ‘Reel Life Entertainment’ is a play on
word for real life entertainment. This fun and subtle pun reflects the artists personality as
well as suggesting that they produce media for artists who are honest, decent and genuine,
and avoid any celebrities who are avaricious and conform to the untouchable superstar
stereotype. This will mean that the impressionable target audience of individuals aged 16-25
will be positively impacted by Reel Life Entertainment’s videos. Rather than making the
tenor between the audience and the artist so big that their video is merely entertaining, the
production companies values reflect the hope that their content acts as a form of
reassurance for self-love and a truthful reality.
