3. CD
• For the CD cover I would like to create a
Vector Logo in Adobe Illustrator for the
artist that can run through the whole
promotional package. This logo would be
a solid colour with some effects to give it
depth of field. This would be placed on
top of an abstract background that will
match the genre of the music. I will try to
stay away from using any images of the
artists in this.
• Album
• Single
DVD
• The DVD cover would pull pre
created assets from the CD
cover and re position them with
additional text. I will try to stay
away from using any images of
the artists in this.
• Artist Documentary
• Tour
• Live show/concert

4. Music Video Ideas
Bastille – Warmth
This is a brand new song from Bastille’s
2016 album ‘Wild Worlds’ therefore this
song doesn’t already have a music video
released for it. Because of this I am able
to interpret the song in my own way and
will provide a wider range of possible
ideas for the narrative of the music video.
It is a fast paced song that will allow for a
fast cutting rate which will keep the video
interesting. It also has some sections
which will allow for interesting and
creative use of editing and animation.
Although this song sounds upbeat it does
have an underlying meaning of the
struggles of living in a ‘Wild World’.
I would like the narrative of this story to follow
the main male character through his struggles of
dealing with what he sees on the news and his
search of how to deal with it. I want to use stock
footage in parts of the chorus of the song as this
will be more relevant to the narrative and will be
really effective when edited well.
5. Location
I would like most of the shots for this
music video to be filmed in everyday
locations. This will allow the audience to
better connect with the narrative of the
song and the video as it is more
realistic. I would like these to be urban
settings in and around York.
However I would also like to take a few
shots in a studio with a green screen.
This is so that I can Chroma Key out the
background and either add in some
footage in the background or some
animation or effects. I think that by
using some of these shot in my video it
will add quite a lot of production value
to the video and will make it look much
more professional.
6. Costume
The costumes of the characters will be
fashionable but not too expensive or
extravagant. This will make them look the part
but will not make them look unrealistic to the
audience. This will allow them to be better
connected to the characters and the story of the
song and the video. The costumes will be dark or
pastille colours as I don’t think bright colours or
designs will fit with the theme of the video or the
song. This also follows the same style of
costumes worn in other Bastille music videos.
This picture features the
same style of clothing but
uses makeup to create
symbolism.This is
something I would possibly
be interested in using in my
video
7. Design Ideas
Lemon milk is the closest free font that I can find to the
official Bastille Font. I plan to experiment with effects to
create a weathered look that will better match their
official logo
8. Draft Example Album Cover
This is a draft album cover that I created as an
example. When creating this I took into account all of
the features on my ‘Design Ideas’ page. The
background is a stock image off Google which I
edited with noise filters and brightness and contrast
adjustments. The logo in the centre is an image that
was used in the marketing campaign for their new
album WildWorlds. The text is the basics of the cover
in the Lemon/Milk font. Extra information may need
to be added for a real cover, such as trademarks,
record labels and licencing's
9. Digipack Layout
Inside – On this page I would
like to have a message from
the artists.This will be a
more personal addition that
will create a better
connection between the
audience and the artist
before they listen to the
song or watch the video.
Back – On the back of the cover
I would like another graphic
that features social media and
other links to the artist as well
as a small amount of
information about the song. As
this is just a single there isn’t a
need for a song list which would
usually go here
Front – On the front of the
cover I would like an image
much like the one seen on
the slide ‘Draft Example
Album Cover’ I like this
design as it is simple and
professional
In this section I would like to
feature an infographic
about the upcoming tour for
the new album including
locations and dates.This will
give the tour a promotion to
the core fans who buy the
album and could contain a
promotional discount
On this page I would like a
gallery of images taken behind
the scenes when filming the
video and recoding the single.
These will be exclusive to the
album and will give the
audience and incite into the
production of the Digipack as
a whole.
On the CD I would like to
use a monotone version
of the logo that will be
used on the cover.This
will be different from the
cover but will continue
the same theme only
