To begin creating my logo I decided to go with a soft blue background as blue is known to convey the feeling of
reliability and trust upon viewing it. I figured this would a good idea as I want potential clients to feel these
things when they look at my logo. My logo is part of my brand's identity therefore I wanted it to be of the
highest quality. After this I decided to add the 'Sixx' of my company's name in a Serif font to convey
professionalism seeing as it would be what the company was best known under. I then added a plain rectangle
and coloured it white to create the effect of having a part missing from my logo, then adding the 'Productions'
from my company's name in a Sans Serif font to add a personal touch to the logo. Having both Serif and Sans
Serif font on my logo creates a balance within it which is what I was looking for from my company, this is the
impression I would want potential customers to have when they think of 'Sixx Productions." To finish off the
logo, I added "film production" and "journalism" underneath the logo so that I could clearly show off my
specialties clearly. This simple detail lets potential clients know what they can come to me by something as
simple as looking at my company's branding.

3. Draft Two:
I started this version of my logo by choosing the background colour, deciding to go with a
charcoal colour as its less abrasive on the eyes than jet black but it still holds that
professional quality to it that I was looking for. I then continued by adding the 'Sixx' of my
company's name in the font 'Argent Thin' slightly higher than the centre as I had an idea in
mind for this logo. I did this using the text tool on Canva. After this, I then added the second
part of my company’s name to the logo in the font 'Montserrat' as I thought that it pared
nicely with the Sixx, again being done by using the text tool. I then moved on and looked in
the elements section on Canva searching up 'rectangle' then I added two of them around the
productions to produce a sort of sectioning between the two words. As much as I liked this
logo, I decided that this logo was not going to be a final contender for my logo as it was too
simple however if I added anything to it, it did not look right. When creating this logo I purely
used Serif fonts in an attempt to make the logo fit in with the professionalism I craved from a
logo however this is the quality I ended up not liking about my logo.

4. Draft Three: This logo and my final design were the two logos that I was trying to decide between when it
came to choosing a final design however the other draft just appealed to me more as this logo
seemed too similar to so many other designs on the market at the moment. I begun this process
by adding a circle from the elements page and then in the circle I added two half circles, keeping
an idea in mind that I had thought of when thinking of potential designs. From there, I then
added my company's name in the centre of the circle in the font 'Caitlin.' From there, I added
the two specialties of my company to the logo in the font 'Lora' however, to go along with the
fact that this logo was a circle, I decided to add the curve effect to the words so that they were
bending in the same direction as the curve of the circle. I was not sure how I liked the design
with the original fonts as one was a Sans Serif font and the other was a Serif font. Unfortunately,
the two clashed with each other quite a bit so I decided to experiment with different fonts to
see if others suited my tasted more. I ended up deciding to use 'Montserrat' for the font that
labelled the specialties for my company and for the actual name of the company I decided to
use 'Anonymous Pro.'

5. Draft Four:
I will say from the beginning, I would not use this logo at all however I wanted to try and go for
something a little more artistic to add range to the different logos I was trying to create. This logo did
not give off the professional vibe that I was looking for however I thought it would be good to show it
anyway for experimentation. To create this logo I begun with a white background to make it easy to
turn the logo into a PNG, then I added a black rectangle from the elements section on canva. From
there I then browsed through the elements section, searching for a film camera to add to the logo to
show off that my company specializes in Film production. I wanted visual representations for what
the specialties were however I actually ended up not liking this feature. After this, I then searched for
writing under the elements section to try and find a good pen and pencil decal to add to my logo as a
way to represent the journalistic profession of the company and once I found one, I liked, I added it to
my logo and changed the colour of it to black as originally it blended in with the background. Finally,
using the text tool on canva I added the text to the logo in the fonts 'Archive' and 'Lora'. I wnt with
just Serif fonts for this logo however I think that is what made me not like the logo as much.

6. Experimentation with my favourite design:
This is the original design I had went with for the logo I chose however something just did not seem right
so I decided to see what it would look like with and without the titles underneath the logo. I decided that I
preferred the logo with the titles underneath, but I wanted to change the fonts and change the colours
around too to see how the logo would look if it were just slightly different. I like the general concept
around this idea a lot. I wanted my logo to be simplistic however it was supposed to represent me as well,
this was close enough however I wanted it to be perfect and something about this logo did not feel right.
In the two designs here, I was doing some experimenting with colours because I wanted to see if it was the
colours that did not feel right to me. The yellow logo on the left did not suit my tastes at all so to me that
was not an option however there was an aspect to the logo on the right that I really liked, just again, the
yellow in the logo did not suit my tastes at all. The part I did like about the logo was the fact that I made
the rectangle the same colour as the background as it made it look like there was part of the logo missing
which I thought was pretty cool. I wanted to make sure to keep this aspect in my final logo design.
In this final design I decided that I would actually keep it simple and go with black and white because each
time it was the colour that was throwing me off. It also meant that it was easy for me to make it into a PNG
so that I could place it over pieces of work. I tried both the logo with and without the expertise however I
decided that the logo itself would be good with the titles underneath however, when I am putting the logo
over pieces of my work it would be better to use the logo without the titles, meaning I will end up using
both of them.

7. Final Logo Design: I also removed the
background from my
logo so that there was a
version of it where I
could easily place it over
some work.
The logos below are the inspirations to my own logo, I wanted something
without colours as I think it makes it easier for me to add it onto photos
as a watermark so that my brand is clearly marked on each piece of work
I produce. I went for a simple design that included my brands name
alongside the labels below the logo which clearly show my field of
expertise. Doing this was a way for me to briefly show what I am capable
of doing at first glance. I wanted to ensure that the first impressions that
my branding gives is that my company is professional and that if you were
to give my company the chance to create something for you that I would
be it to the best of my ability. One of my inspirations was the plain black
ITV logo because I feel like not only is it memorable, it also is a great way
of showing that a simple logo can be effective if you do it right. I have a
few versions of the logo, including black and white versions of the PNG
version as added a white logo over an already light image ruined the
image in my opinion. I believe that my logo is up to industry standard as
it is simple but effective, clearly representing my company and what we
do.

9. Feedback on my Logo:
I had decided to take in some feedback for all of logos I created so that I could get some feedback from my
classmates seeing as they could give me some feedback. I listed their options in order of the drafts and
showed them what each of the logos looked like so they could give me the best feedback that they could. To
begin with, I asked the six people I sent the survey to which of the four options they were given was their
favourite design was seeing as I needed to know this before getting their answers for the next few questions.
Five out of Six chose my final design as their favourite design which was a huge relief to me as I had already
made up my mind that this is the one, I was using as the official design, however, one out of the six chose the
third design as their favourite design which was a nice surprise seeing as the two most popular choices had
been my two favourite drafts.

10. Feedback on my Logo: I first asked those I sent the form to what they liked about the
design chose and most of the people who preferred the first option
decided that they liked the logo because it looked professional in
their opinion. I liked getting this response because it meant that
the logo was giving off the impression that I wanted it to give off.
As well as this they also said that even though it was simple it looks
good. This is really what I wanted it to give off, so I was really happy
to hear this. As well as this, they said that they liked the titles that I
had put underneath the logo saying that they were handy. Overall,
from this I found out that the logo looks good and professional to
those who are seeing it for the first time and as well as the fact
they liked the fact I put the titles under the logo. Finally, I asked if
they would change anything about the logos, they chose however
all of them who had chosen the first logo decided they would not
change anything about the logo they had chosen.
However, one person chose the third logo and they said they liked
the circle of the logo and the fact that the text bends within the
logo itself. When it came to changing the design, they felt they
would change the colour of the text within the circle however
seeing as this is not my final logo, I decided to not change the draft.
Had this been my final design, of course I would change this.

11. Evaluation of my Logo:
Upon creating this logo, in my opinion I have achieved everything I
wanted out of it. It is as professional as I had hoped it would be, it
is simplistic but not to the point where it is too boring and as well
as this, most importantly, I really like my logo and I think it
represents me well. I am more than pleased with the outcome of
my work, it is simple but effective, the text underneath the logo is
not too distracting which I am happy with as this had been a worry
of mine and as well as this, I truly think that this logo is
recognisable which is a really important factor for a company in the
media industry.
