1. Logo Ideas 1 and 2
Drawing for ideas 1 and 2 is a bit too
messy for a logo. Might not be clear in
smaller sizes. Like the simple colours
used, taken from my main colour
scheme. Logo idea 1 is probably better
than 2 as has fewer elements to it,
making it cleaner and simpler.

2. Logo Ideas 3 and 4
I have used the same wave drawing
as 1 and 2, though in a different
way. Before I used it as an image,
though this time I used it to create a
pattern. Though I like these ideas, I
think that they would work better as
stickers.

3. Logo Idea 5 and 5 improved
Like this logo. The organizations name has been incorporated
into the logo well. Like with ideas 1 and 2, the drawing is a bit
messy and may be unclear in a smaller size, making it less
suitable to be used as a logo. With 5 improved, I adjusted the
colours so make them brighter, making this version better.

4. Logo Idea 6 and 7
For 6 and 7 I created a geometric interpretation on the shape of a wave. With idea 6 I almost
used all of the colours from my main colour scheme. I created quite a large thick shape using
rectangles. With idea 7 I created a slightly thinner and smaller shape. I also didn’t use as many
of the colours from the colour scheme. I like the simplicity of both of these, and I think they
work better as logos than the others pervious.

5. Logo Idea 8 and 9
With logo idea 8 I have managed to use all of
the colours from my colour scheme. I have
stuck with using geometric shapes. I think that
the text is effective in some way at illustrating
the organizations name. I have written the
word “against” vertically, so that the words
“sewage” and “surfers” are up against it. I
think that the simple geometric shapes work
better for a logo than detailed messy
drawings.
For logo idea 9 I took inspiration from ideas 6 and
7. I used the same shape, though I created it with
many different individual rectangles rather than a
solid block. The stripes give the logo a sort of
nautical look. They also make the logo a bit more
interesting, without over crowding it. This will
make it more visible in smaller sizes. I also used
fewer colours than the previous few logo ideas.

6. Logo Idea 10 and 11
Ideas 10 and 11 are 2 more geometric interpretations
of the shape of a wave. I have used the same stripe
pattern as I did with idea 9. I experimented with the
different ways I could use the stripes with 10 and 11. I
used more of the colours from my main colour
scheme in these 2 than in idea 9. I think I prefer 10 to
11, as I can imagine it would look better on
merchandise. Its also slightly simpler, and would be
easier to incorporate the organizations name into it.

7. Logo idea 12
I had another go at hand
drawing a logo. Though I
like this idea, I think that
the organizations name
isn’t particularly neat or
readable. I think that
creating shapes on
photoshop also looks a lot
more suitable for
commercial purposes. The
small details of this logo
would not be very clear in
smaller sizes either.

8. I took idea 9 and added a new element to it. I
incorporated a light blue/ gray square into the
image, though cutting it so it fitted in with the
background. This lighter space allows me to add
text over the top, and will make sure it is visible.
As you can see I have experimented with 2
different ways in which I could incorporate the
organizations name in the logo. I think that the
bottom one would be slightly more visible in
smaller sizes than the top one.

9. As you can see I have taken idea 10 and
incorporated the organizations name into it. I
think that the text fits in with the logo really
well, however I think it might be a bit tricky to
read in a smaller size. I have had to use a fairly
small font size for the bottom row to make it fit
in.

10. I decided that I would experiment with a different
font before making my decision as to which design to
use for my logo. I tried the font Absender. I like this
font for the top logo design, but less so for the
design to the right.

11. I have decided to go with this logo design for my
final idea. I think that it is the cleanest designs I
have made. I think that it will be effective in a
variety of sizes, so will be suitable for many
purposes. I also think that the main shape
featured would be usable on its own as the
organizations recognition increased. I like this
font the best. It is readable, and I think it looks
professional.
