The document provides instructions for creating a logo in four steps. In step one, the creator draws a spiked ball using a drawing tool. In step two, handwritten text is added using a different tool. In step three, a smoke effect is added but is difficult to see on the light background. In step four, the smoke effect is made invisible and the background is darkened, creating a clear final logo featuring a spiked ball and handwritten text.

1. Logo Creation on ‘Livebrush Mini’
Step one
Select “Geometry Small” then draw a ball, I set the draw speed on 75 in order to create more spikes
and a bolder look. This is the very first layer and will be placed under the upcoming text.
Step two
Next add the text- I chose “Ink Path Thin”, this tool makes the writing look more realistic and fits the
noir theme. As I used the “Wacom Bamboo touch and draw pad” this allowed me to actually write in
my own handwriting. This allowed more of a unique feel to the text- straying away from the default
texts.

2. Step 3
I have added “Effect Smoke(on black)” which helps make the image pop more, the smoke yet again
makes the audience think of noir and the tropes it envelops. However the smoke is quite hard to see
due to the light background, I shall change the background to an appropriate colour.
Step 4
In the end I set the smoke to invisible, it didn’t really work as a clear
recognisable logo, I still changed the background to a darker colour in order to
make the image more clear. To the right is the final cropped logo, it’s clear and
the image isn’t too complicated. “Double Think” the Orwellian coined phrase
was picked as it represents a deeper interest in story and message. And much
like noir the phrase comes from a pessimistic ideology of corruption and anti-
establishment, perfect for our film company as we aim to bring niche trends to a
broader audience- creating both positive critic and audience reception.
