1. Location Recce
The Office set
which could be
used for the
opening scenes of
our teaser trailer
showing John
lurking in front of
the large window
looking at Jane
from afar.
This is the
chair John
could be sitting
in when
patiently
waiting for
Jane to escape
the house.
Here is where Jane would look down at the basement
door which is locked shut finding herself unable to
escape the house.
This could be the stairs shot which I
shown whilst Jane panics trying to
find a way out of the house.
2. This is the
front door of
the house that
Jane would
first approach
when
meeting John.
Jane’s character
would known on
the front door at
the beginning of
the teaser trailer
which introduces
Jane’s character
and also displays
the thriller side of
the mysterious
teaser trailer as
her arm gets
grabbed and she
is pulled into the
house (which is
not shown in the
actual teaser
trailer).
This is the extreme
long
shot/establishing
shot of the house
that will be used to
displays the
comparison of the
picture and the
actual house when
the Jane character
compares he image
to the real life
setting.
This over the
shoulder shot may
be used in our teaser
trailer displaying the
entrapment felt by
Jane’s character.
The bedroom set could
be used as one of our
many settings
surrounding the house
which displays Jane’s
character to be trapped
in the house with no
escape from any area
around the house.
3. This wardrobe
could be used
within the
montage sequence
to show Jane’s
character
searching for a key
or any type of
escape from the
house.
This filing cabinet/drawers
could be used within the easer
trailer when john first hides an
unknown object within it, then
at the end of the teaser trailer
Jane again looks in that same
cabinet and finds the unknown
object. This creates a sense of
mystery and felt a concealed
piece of future like this would
be interesting to use as a main
feature within the teaser trailer
as it reflects and relates to the
entrapped and restricted
feeling Jane feels being in the
house, much like being in a
small space like this cabinet
displays.
This image of
Jane’s character
opening a door
is what we plan
on displaying in
our montage
sequence as she
grabs the
closest door
handle and tries
to escape the
room she woke
up in.
This is an image of a small
storage room between the
basement door and he
kitchen which could be
used within the montage
sequence to reinforce the
idea of no escape as each
door she opens has no exit.
4. These windows and
long curtains could be
used to display the
constant entrapment
and imprisonment of
Jane’s character who
thinks she could
break the windows
and escape is
disappointed when
she realises she is
trapped in all
directions.
Jane’s character could run through the kitchen leading
to the basement door which is chained up and unable
to open. This makes Jane’s escape or difficult and
proves to be impossible after finding no exit. The
kitchen is a good setting as it adds a sense of realism
to the maze-like house.
