LO4: Evaluating your TV
advert.
Alicia Keown
Task 1 - Suitable to target audience. How it
fits the CAP codes?.
• Our TV advert suits our target audience because we made our TV
advert suitable for girls and also they are young as they are still in
school, this means young girls can relate to out TV advert. Also our TV
advert is what young girls are doing at the moment, enjoying life and
partying.
• We used humour in our TV advert to try and make it memorable and
for the target audience will be able to relate to it but it could offended
geeky people but it was not intentional.
Task 2 - Focus group/ questionnaire.
• We done a focus group and showed people out TV advert.
Task 3 - Report.
• From our focus group we found out that people felt the concept of our
TV advert was a good concept to use, also they felt that we matched
our target audience very well and it was the right target audience to
use. As well they thought that some parts of the advert had some
humor in, that’s what made the advert watchable. Overall the TV
advert was successful as you can see from the focus groups response.
Task 4 - Finished product compared to
storyboard.
• Our TV advert compares to our storyboard very well, as all the scenes
on our storyboard are exactly the same ones as in our TV advert, e.g.
a geeky girl was pictured on our storyboard and on our advert we
used a geeky girl.
• Technology has helped us turn our ideas into a real TV advert as
we’ve was able to film it with high tech cameras which then enables
us to then upload them onto the computer and edit out advert using
premiere pro, using all this technology enables us to have quality
filming.
Task 5 - Challenges I’ve overcome.
• During making this TV advert, I feel that challenges I have overcome
are be able to work as a group and communicating, I feel that this is
an important challenge to overcome because with out communication
or not be able to work as a team nothing would be able to get done. By
communicating as a group you are telling each other what jobs to do
and things will get done.
Task 6 - Technical skills.
• During filming and planning our TV advert I feel as if I have learnt
many technical skills such as knowing the best way to film our advert
and also I learnt about the different camera shots and techniques
used for filming.
• Also I gained the ability to upload my files on my yola site but before I
could do that I had to convert the files first, to convert my files I had to
put them on to a website called slide share then get the embed code so
that I could put my files on to my yola site.

Lo4 evaluating tv adverrt

  • 1. LO4: Evaluating your TV advert. Alicia Keown
  • 2. Task 1 - Suitable to target audience. How it fits the CAP codes?.
  • 3. • Our TV advert suits our target audience because we made our TV advert suitable for girls and also they are young as they are still in school, this means young girls can relate to out TV advert. Also our TV advert is what young girls are doing at the moment, enjoying life and partying. • We used humour in our TV advert to try and make it memorable and for the target audience will be able to relate to it but it could offended geeky people but it was not intentional.
  • 4. Task 2 - Focus group/ questionnaire.
  • 5. • We done a focus group and showed people out TV advert.
  • 6. Task 3 - Report.
  • 7. • From our focus group we found out that people felt the concept of our TV advert was a good concept to use, also they felt that we matched our target audience very well and it was the right target audience to use. As well they thought that some parts of the advert had some humor in, that’s what made the advert watchable. Overall the TV advert was successful as you can see from the focus groups response.
  • 8. Task 4 - Finished product compared to storyboard.
  • 9. • Our TV advert compares to our storyboard very well, as all the scenes on our storyboard are exactly the same ones as in our TV advert, e.g. a geeky girl was pictured on our storyboard and on our advert we used a geeky girl. • Technology has helped us turn our ideas into a real TV advert as we’ve was able to film it with high tech cameras which then enables us to then upload them onto the computer and edit out advert using premiere pro, using all this technology enables us to have quality filming.
  • 10. Task 5 - Challenges I’ve overcome.
  • 11. • During making this TV advert, I feel that challenges I have overcome are be able to work as a group and communicating, I feel that this is an important challenge to overcome because with out communication or not be able to work as a team nothing would be able to get done. By communicating as a group you are telling each other what jobs to do and things will get done.
  • 12. Task 6 - Technical skills.
  • 13. • During filming and planning our TV advert I feel as if I have learnt many technical skills such as knowing the best way to film our advert and also I learnt about the different camera shots and techniques used for filming. • Also I gained the ability to upload my files on my yola site but before I could do that I had to convert the files first, to convert my files I had to put them on to a website called slide share then get the embed code so that I could put my files on to my yola site.
