hearing
Hearing is simply the act of perceiving sound by the
ear. If you are not hearing-impaired, hearing simply
happens. Listening, however, is something you
consciously choose to do. Listening requires
concentration so that your brain processes meaning
from words and sentences

 The term"listening" has different meanings for different
people:
 Listening involve paying attention and maintaining eye
contact
 Remembering what has been said word-for- word
 Reading between lines to perceive the unspoken message.

being said and then checks with the speaker to see if he/she
heard what the speaker intended to communicate.
