The presentation begins with a listening exercise. The students will watch a video and try to pick up the grammar that is repeated many times. After students discuss what it is they think they heard they are shown the grammar point and watch the video again.
Next students discuss what the grammar point's meaning is and if they have encountered it before if so in what context.
Students will then have the grammar explained.
Students will then use the grammar. Using pictures, students will ask their ask their friends questions using the grammar. After all students have guessed the teacher will ask the students and reveal the answers to the students.
Students Comprehension and understanding will then be challenged before moving on to the next "expansion" part.
In expansion students will draw their own mystery pictures and use their grammar knowledge to interact with their partners while taking memos.
Finally students will cool down with a writing activity

A comprehensive revision guide to the current WJEC GCSE Film Studies Paper 1, focusing on Hollywood films. This revision guide and workbook focuses on Superhero films, the film industry, how movies are marketed, has explanations and guides as to how the exam works and a series of exercises, worksheets and bespoke tasks for students. I've used this with my own students for the last 2 years and have had some great feedback from it. However, as with all of my resources, please note that it's by no means a definitive guide and there is plenty that could be improved or developed.

On the topic of whether music enhances fear or distraction, most felt music enhances fear by portraying the intended emotions and helping with suspense. On plot details in openings, all agreed audiences should be left in suspense. Regarding trailers and openings influencing watching a movie, most said trailers are important but openings decide if one continues watching. On location's impact on genre, most felt location is important for setting and genre. Finally, on characters versus settings affecting viewers, most said characters/actors are more important in how they feel during the film.

Beyond the perspective of Professional critic, there are the reviews from moviegoers, like yourselves, who post their responses on blogs and theater websites. Viewer reviews can be just as valid as professional reviews, so long as they explain why they feel the way they do about a film. Both kinds of reviews can help you narrow your choice of a film, and in the end, pick a film you feel like writing about.
