PROGRAM DIRECTOR APRIL 2014-PRESENT
• Provide compassionate care, advocacy, referrals and counseling to residents in recovery
• Reports to the President of Newborn Holistic Ministries (NHM) at regularly scheduled
meetings. Maintain ongoing communications with NHM and Board. Carry out policies
and procedures as set forth by the President and Board of Directors.
• In conjunction with the President and the Board, develop and implement strategic
programs and fiscal plans.
• Perform weekly outreach.
• Provide monthly training to staff in the areas of communication, crisis intervention, and
self-care and program management.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility. Includes development and monitoring of operating budget
for Martha's Place and associated tasks of direct mail letters, donation thank you letters,
etc.
• Perform human resource development activities including recruitment, retention, and
training. Supervise staff, conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings and one-on-one
sessions with employees. Perform regular evaluations of each staff member.
• Collaborate with local, in/out of state transitional housing programs and other relevant
agencies to provide quality services and care to residents and to insure compliance with
government regulations.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with relevant institutions and service
providers (i.e., DSS, 28-day detox facilities, Baltimore City Drug Court, MCIW and
others).
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CENTER OF HOWARD COUNTY, COLUMBIA, MD
Residential Director October 2010- December 2012
• Responsible for the supervision of Residential staff and interns including hiring and
evaluating job performance;
• Ensured twenty-four hour coverage of the Residential Program
• Trained and supported staff to provide case management, advocacy, resources and
referrals to clients;
• Provided on-call support to staff ;

support counselors, and residential manager.
