This document proposes using LiFi technology to detect the position of people or vehicles on roads. It describes how roadside lamp posts equipped with LED lights could act as wireless access points. People would carry photodetector receivers to connect to the nearest lamp post and receive location updates as they move between coverage areas. This system could generate a clear real-time map of activity on the road network and allow remote monitoring of specific individuals' movements. The document outlines the technical details of how the LiFi network would function and transmit location data between sources and receivers.
