Within the trash sample I analyzed there were around 234 items thrown away within a week s
period. Many of the items thrown away were thrown away in pairs suggesting that two people live
in the dwelling that the sample was taken in. Some examples of items thrown away in pairs include,
Starbucks cups, church bulletins, and Bounty paper towels. Bounty paper products, napkins and
paper towels, show up on the record 24 times, suggesting that Bounty paper products are used over
three times per day, corresponding with meals. Other brands that show up in the sample often
include Green Giant, four times, Kroger Brand, twelve times. Within the Kroger brand items there
are six plastic ziploc bags, this suggests that the people who live in this home either take their

Is Iago a Sociopath? One of Shakespeare s most acclaimed works, Othello, delves into a wide range
of themes. The play tackles issues of race, gender and encompasses ideas of jealousy and deceit.
Shakespeare also brings to life a variety of well constructed characters. Iago, the deceitful
antagonist, can easily be identified as the liveliest and most complex character in the play. His
devious nature raises the question of whether or not he is a sociopath. Sociopathy is a mental
disorder in which an individual s moral depravity poses a threat to society. The Psychopathy
Checklist, commonly known as the PCL, constructed a list of criteria used to diagnose sociopaths.

The PCL refers to sociopaths as having superficial charm and glibness , both of which Iago
possesses. When asked by Othello to recap the events of the quarrel, Iago says I had rather have
this tongue cut from my mouth/ Then it should do offence to Michael Cassio (2.3.205 206). In

The world is full of different cultures. It is so interesting to study the different ways people live
their lives. Cultures are so diverse that normal habits done on a regular basis in one culture may be
considered taboo in another culture. This essay will discuss how the Japanese culture differs from
my culture, and it will also examine the importance of studying another culture.
First, I want to cover some of the major differences between the Japanese culture and my own,
and then get to some of the smaller differences. The first major difference is the religion;
Buddhism and Shintoism make up 84% of the Japanese religion. The item that intrigued me was
the fact that religion in Japan is more of a set of rules and rituals to follow now and then. There
is not much daily involvement in religion like there is in America; whether it is Christian,
Catholic, or Muslin, each religion involves prayer and worship to a certain degree on more of
daily or weekly basis. Next, the Japanese food is much different. Most Japanese meals have rice in
some form or another and the Japanese generally eat with chopsticks. When eating at a restaurant
there are many differences to consider. A wet towel is given to a customer when he is first seated
